You dont make any sense. Available means to have console at official price point, scalpers that have $100-150 higher price point compared to ofical of course don't count. In any case this is totally different situation, $199 is Black Friday deal and that's actually $100-150 lower price point from official price point, and that price is not available any more, but that doesnt mean that PS4 is generally sold out like some people assume here.

Not true...  The $199 is the new MSRP.  It's not just a Black Friday deal except at gamestop where that includes a $50 gift card for $199.

You are saying that $199 is new official price for 1TB model!? Pls link for such a claims.

In a discussion that is about BF and that the deal for BF is unavailable all other can be considered above MSRP. Unless you also want to consider in a 300M country if a single Switch was being sold at MSRP it wouldn't be sold out everywhere....

BF is just a current deal, it's not official price point. And actually some people here think that PS4 is generally sold out, not only $199 version.

In any case, headline of this thread is fixed and now is more accurate.

ismt it funny that when it's convenient to you you remember that the PS4 official price is $299/$350?

weren't you just saying in another thread how it's been being sold for $250 for a while now with bundles and bigger HDD?

anyways. I don't get why you are so triggered by it being generally sold out or not. if Sony shipped 1M $199 PS4s to NA for this promotion and all of them are sold out? then it means in addition to however many PS4s were sold at a higher price or pS4pro were sold.... Sony has still managed to sell well over 1M consoles for November.

The real take away here, is just how well the PS4 still stands to sell at a $199 price tag. 4 years later. just goes to show that this year may not even be its peak year after all

Yes, I was saying that PS4 1TB and 1TB bundles were regulary selling at $300 and lower price point despite higher regular price point, but I dont see how this is conflicted with this $199 deal that is just for Black Friday.

I am not triggered, I just bringing a clear fact, and that is that PS4 is not generally sold out like some people thinking, and that point is that just $199 BF price tag is not any more available.

In any case, headline of this thread is fixed and now is more accurate.

Could PS4 price drop as low as 150 or 100 during its last years? Then it could maybe reach PS2 numbers if the support is good.

I think in 2020, you might see a 150$ price tag.

By then a new 400$ machine will be out  (~_*) *wink*

The $199 price (normally $299) is the MSRP for at least 4 more days (today, Sat, Sunday, and Cyber Monday). Wouldn't surprise me if it becomes a new standard price, but it does technically say limited time, but it is the current MSRP for all retailers.

Sony's web site points to 4 online retailers, and 3 out of 4 are out of stock, but best buy is currently in stock. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-playstation4-1tb-console-black/5850905.p for anyone looking for it.

AAAAAnd it's gone.  Just says "Check Stores."

Edit: Just refreshed the page, again, and now it's in stock.  Weird.

And now, Best Buy says "Find a Store." That didn't take long.

Edit: Lol, the closest one to me with stock is 75 miles away.

Wow the ps4 is struggling so bad to meet demand.

Official price was $299 pre black Friday right? I can see them dropping a 1TB PS4 +1/2 games to $249.

Then next black Friday back to $199 before a permanent cut to that price.

except only ps4 is sold  out now every where, and it's not even black friday. huge sales are being missed out on by sony.

Thats funny, I just left best buy and walmart about a hour and a half ago and both had stacks. of PS4s and Xbox ones. no switches though.

zip code you were in? because best buy has them in stock. anecdotal evidence like this is useless. i can buy a switch online now, and pick it up for both locations mentioned today, while ps4 199$ is not available anywhere online

I'm with you; I've seen variable conditions, from store to store.

I doubt Sony is gonna cut the official price by $100, they're probably gonna drop to $249.99 + a game. They could bundle games like Call of Duty WWII and Battlefront 2, and in the future games like Horizon Zero Dawn's Complete Edition, God of War, Spider-man and Detroit: Become Human.
