why not from the start?

Guess they didn’t think people would misunderstand the game so much. It’s not like the content wasn’t there. It was just hidden in different modes. Most people hated on the game without even understanding that (or having played the game at all), even though thorough reviews had pointed that out already.

It should've launched with this but still nice though.

Yep. It’s a nice start, but needs a ton more SP content to compare to other racers or even past GT titles. Hopefully they add more, I’ll pick it up down the line.

I'll pick it up down the line as well.

If GT really is a service from now on and if we're never going to see a GT7, I can see why they're doing this.

If however GT7 comes out in a few years (which I think it will), the game (and GT franchise in general) would've been far better received both critically and commercially if GT Sport was called GT 7 Prologue and if it cost $40 at launch and included this new content on disc.

No, this is the Driveclub model. All they need to do is patch out the need to be online to save. Hopefully they're just riding it out until after Christmas. If they don't patch it out, they're still STUPID.

See my reply above.

In short, if Sport is the last GT game (it becomes a service), this model makes sense but they could've easily avoided the butchered launch.

Get fucked PD for making the core of the game a DLC, was never gonna pay full price for a game still in ongoing development, I'll get it next year when maybe hopefully it resembles a real GT game. Too bad you destroyed the IP in the process.

I know it is frustrating the way they managed it, but it is free DLC only two months after launch to be fair

Kaz always stated it’s the new generation of GT and will be heavily upgraded over time. It’s just that people refused to listen (or even read the game’s description).

I don’t think GT7 will happen anymore. Only if the unjustified shit-storm against GT Sport continues and the brand ends up burned. In that case it’s possible GT7 will release early in PS5’s gen, instead of being called GT Sport.

People are so unfair and entitled these days, it’s sickening. I blame the internet for spreading BS exponentially. Like a shit cannon.

Of course you don’t even need to tell me you didn’t play the game yet.

I swear the shit storm will continue, no matter what they’ll do...first it was too low on content and too expensive, now people complain about the update being too late and the early price drop. People will always find something to complain, it’s f’ed up.

It's a service, not a traditional GT game. Think Driveclub but spanning two or more generations. They'll add 4K textures and make it run at 60fps for the PS5.

I agree...it will be a platform from now on, spanning generations. The game is already running at 60fps btw.

Yes, but not at 4K ;)

The PS5 Exists.

Does anyone know that first car?! Looks like a Corvette concept...Callaway maybe?!

It’s the Zagato Vision GT concept, inspired by Iso Rivolta.

Tbh if the majority of the game’s sales happen at 30,- or less I can definitely see some paid DLCs coming up. It’s most likely they’re going to be mixed imho...some for free and some paid ones later down the line, like in GT5. That said, if I think about it I’m not sure how paid DLC would work for the online part of the game. Could definitely cause fairness or balancing issues. All players should have an equal playing field, right?!
