Because its too easy and anyone can make a good looking game these days. Making a game that's extremely fun to play isn't.

Metroid Prime anyone ?.......

I sincerely hope Metroid Prime 4 goes for an art style similar to the first 3 games, and pushes the Switch's hardware as hard as those games pushed Gamecube/Wii. I have a bad feeling though that Nintendo will force an ill-fitting art style on it.

Mario + Rabbits and Odyssey also looks beautiful.

I wanna pose the same question to Sony... why don't they make more games that look like BotW for example.

Nintendo's doing good.

There's no question that Uncharted 2 still technically looks better than BotW...just goes to show ya the kind of people that are on here hahah.

Because it's difficult and costs money. Also they would need a platform to run it on which is also difficult and costs money. You also always need to keep the expectations of reviewers low to rake in those 10s.

Nintendo really is brilliant.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Would love to see the result of Nintendo trying to make a game with realism as artstyle. Maybe a Metroid or a new IP.

Also... curse you AngryLittleAlchemist for making that stupid song glue on my mind.

Because they don't have the hardware to excell in Photo realism, that isn't their direction art and the budget for that is above what Nintendo use to do besides being a genre they don't excell.

Funny enough is the pretense that WiiU were putting prettier games than PS4 because of a preference over cartoony (apparently only cartoonish can be considered art style, while photorealism is boring). Have come to mind that Ratchet and Clank games look gorgeous and have much more technical prowess than the Mario games of Switch. The HW capability makes a difference, Nintendo basically hides its shortcoming on HW with the cartoony. So why does anyone think they would change and show how behind they are?
