Personally, I don't understand how what he's saying doesn't lead to a ban. It's obviously bait and he's obviously trolling. Seems like it should warrant a warning at least.

I mean, to each to there own I guess. I half understand where you are coming from. I know a lot of people felt off about this game from the intial shock of New Donk City, but I think most people are far over that point after everything we've seen so far. I mean there is a lot of weird stuff in this game, but it doesn't come off as cheap or tacky to me at least. 

I would just say fully play the game, and after what I've seen so far I'm sure you'll come around. I'll admit that I can't say I too didn't have a few doubts about this game before I played it.

What is the critique of game informer and polygon for not giving a 10?

Yep, he just came in and said unnesescarily negative (and trollish) things about a game many here are excited for/are enjoying. It’s in bad taste tbh.

Don't know about Game Informer, but this should tell you all you need to know about Polygon-

I still haven't forgotten that Polygon gave Xenoblade X a 7/10 for the camera being too close and the UI being too complicated, which were both things you could change in the options menu.

Fair warning - our webiste is notoriously extra-critical, and often on Nintendo titles in particular and we're on Meta, so I expect that average to drop a tad in the near future lol.

I'm not reviewing it. Was actually going to initially but my current circumstances made it so it wasn't ideal. Haven't even played it yet as I'm waiting for it to ship.

I'm just going by our overall track record, as we kind of pride ourselves on being one of the more critical publications. Could be totally off base in this case of course.
