"You (Romney) said Russia (was our no. 1 enemy), in the 1980s, they're now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War's been over for 20 years. But Governor, when it comes to our foreign policy, you seem to want to import the foreign policies of the 1980s." - Barack Obama during 2012 Presidential debate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS2a44F5TgM)

Drawing contrasts between President Barack Obama and comments Romney has made on the campaign trail in 2008 and this year, Biden attacked the former Massachusetts governor for being  “one of a small group of Cold War holdovers,” for naming Russia as a major threat to the United States and at times referring to Soviets. I don’t know whether it’s a slip of the tongue or a mind-set … Everybody slips. I never do, but everyone does,” Biden said in a self-deprecating nod to his own gaffes." - Then VP Joe Biden http://www.politico.com/story/2012/04/biden-assails-mocks-romney-on-foreign-policy-075653

Can you at least answer me how we went from calling Russia a threat was "so 1980s," Romney wasn't even QUALIFIED to be President because of his Russian comments, and Putin interfering in the 2012 election to help Obama to "OMG RUSSIA IS THE BIGGEST THREAT EVER OMG HE CAUSED THE QUEEN TO LOSE!!!"

What did I miss? Where's the transition?

Yeah, so how about we prevent war in the first place?

Kill Putin. He's running a country dependent on his leadership. He didn't build a strong gov like the Soviets before him. If hes gone then the threat is neutralized, for now

Just out of curiosity, would you propose we also waltz in and assassinate Kim Jong Un? Also while you're somewhat correct that Russia as a whole isn't that strong (tons of infighting in certain regions) straight up war right now is not the answer as we'd end up in a extremely bad situation, considering things could literally get nuclear real quickly.

I'd like to see how Fox News spins Trump's speech in China where he basically sucks China's dick and blames all faults on previous US administrations.

Our previous administrations sucked too.

You think the USA cares about Crimea?

LOL.

No, the real reason the USA Government became anti-Russia (remember when Obama and the Democrats gushed all over RUssia?) is because Putin is pro-Assad.

If tomorrow Putin announced he'd help take out Assad, all of a sudden the USA would love Russia/Putin again.

Why would you assume that the USA cares anymore about Assad than they do about Crimea?

Syria and Assad's relevance historically stemmed from its strategic alliance with the Soviet Union, and later Russia (another warm-water port access in the area, just like Crimea). Outside of the human rights stuff (though I'm doubtful on how much of a factor that was here) the USA had no other major interest in seeing him dead, and it's looking like they're content with leaving him there, by now, as well.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

At least it wasn't such an embarrassment.  Even Bush Jr. wasn't this embarrassing.  The only thing going for Trump over Bush Jr. right now is that he hasn't started any bullshit wars yet.  Other than that though Trump makes Bush Jr. look smart.

How's bring those coal jobs back to a dying industry going? lol

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-trump-effect-coal-revival/a-year-after-trumps-election-coals-future-remains-bleak-idUSKBN1DD0IA

"The number of coal miners has also risen slightly to 51,900 in October, up about 2,200 since November 2016 - but down about 70 percent from a 1985 peak, according to the Labor Department."

We’re not planning to build any additional coal facilities,“ said Melissa McHenry, a spokeswoman for American Electric Power, one of the largest U.S. utilities. “The future for coal is dictated by economics … and you can’t make those kinds of investments based on one administration’s politics.”

"Forecasts from utilities and the U.S. government reveal little reason for hope of a sustained coal rebound.

Utilities are expected to shut down more than 13,600 megawatts of coal plant capacity in 2018. That follows a loss of nearly 8,000 MW this year and 13,000 MW in 2016, according to EIA and Thomson Reuters data.

By 2025, coal-fired power plant capacity will dip to 226,380 MW, down about 30 percent from 2011, according to EIA.

Three Texas coal plants owned by Vistra Energy Corp subsidiary Luminant are among the latest to close, bringing the number of plants that shut, or plan to, to 265 since 2010 - a figure higher than the 258 plants that remain, according to the Sierra Club, which has campaigned against coal.

Vistra said the closures were forced by lower prices for natural gas and renewable power - and not by environmental regulations.

Duke Energy, one of the country’s largest utilities, has shut down more than 5,400 MW of coal capacity since 2011 and plans to shed another 2,000 MW by 2024.

Over the next decade, Duke plans to invest $11 billion in new natural gas and renewable power - and nothing in new coal-fired generation, said spokesman Rick Rhodes. "

Can someone tell Trump coal is getting their ass kicked by natural gas and god forbid investment into renewable power.

No, I'm not motivated by fear. I'm motivated by useless politicans being sent to Washington and doing nothing. I'm motivated by someone who wants to get the ball rolling through the swamp known as DC.
We have seen what decades of corruption has done to this country and I'm tired of it. I'm not even 30 years old as I type this, yet I ask my elders who voted for Trump, many of them who voted for Obama, and
they all seem to agree with me.

Trump went to DC with an agenda:

Drain the swamp (you can see it with all these so called Republicans who are not running for re-election because they don't agree with Trump's agenda)
Tax Reform (this is the biggest issue for me)

1. go from 7 brackets to 4: 39.5, 25, 12, and 0%
2. get rid of moneygrab taxes such as the death tax
3. make taxes easier to file
4. double the standard deduction, which most people take, from 6,000 to 12,000 single and 12,000 to 24,000 married

Keep Illegal Aliens from coming into our country and selling drugs/killing/raping people or otherwise illegal and immoral activities
Keep America great for Americans REGARDLESS of skin color.

What the democrats are doing, these divide and conquer politics is setting this country back by about a century. We're Americans. We should start acting like it.

None of this take a knee garbage.

And all this is just scratching the surface.

Congrats, if you made it this far, you've made if further than most people who read my posts.

There is zero evidence of any swamp draining in Washington. Trump has put people in offices of power that he was ordered to.

Who is the head of the treasury? What did he do before? What are his policies? Is this draining the swamp?

Are deficits a concern in budgeting?  If so would you cut spending of major expenditures such as health, defense, or education?

I'll agree with filing taxes, most countries do it through the state rather than placing the burden on the citizen.  I don't need my taxes lowered, I need a healthier society with greater opportunity for social mobility.

There is no data that shows immigrants commit crimes at a greater rate than citizens.  The tide of immigration has also slowed dramatically in past 15 years, and the previous administration had a massive deportation program.

You seriously don't think the Republicans used divide and conquer? They admitted to it on multiple occasions. It was called the "Southern Strategy" that stoked racism to win votes for decades. They apologized for doing this.  Trump is the end game of dividing people in nearly every conceivable category, he's an internet troll who holds the highest office in the land.

That "take a knee garbage" was initiated by a veteran to show respect for the flag and soldiers while peacefully protesting a social issue.

I made it that far, and while it is clear we fundamentally disagree on nearly every issue, so let's try to take one that perhaps we can agree on.

End corruption by removing money in political process. Public financing of elections so the politicians are held accountable by voters, and not donors.  The truth is they don't care about you or me, they care about the people that write large checks and tell them how to vote.  You can have legislation with 8% approval rating, but if donors want it, it passes.  This isn't a party issue, it is a democracy issue that infects every facet of our society.

"Drain the swamp (you can see it with all these so called Republicans who are not running for re-election because they don't agree with Trump's agenda)"

More like they are abandoning ship before the entire shit ship sinks. Democrats will take back control of the Senate and either be very close or will take back the House 2018. Just watch snesboy. If you are old enough to remember what happened back in early 2000 then you know it will happen again.

Look at all Trump's picks. They are all fucking hacks. Who the fuck heads the EPA? Biggest douchebag in the world besides Trump.

Who was his first pick for Department of Agriculture?  This fat fuck who is guess what somehow wrapped up in the Mueller investigation.

http://www.politicususa.com/2017/10/31/worse-trump-agriculture-department-pick-questioned-mueller.html

I mean I could go up and down the list for his picks for department heads but what's the use.  You probably think they are all model citizens.  Trump is garbage and he surrounds himself with garbage.  And just for shits and giggles.  Draining swamps isn't a good idea.  Houston witnessed first hand what getting rid of wetlands and paving it over with concrete does.  So yea... Draining the swamps increases hurricane flood damage.

Do you really think Republicans give a damn about the middle class (or what is left of them) or anyone but their rich donor class? Why do Republicans hate the Consumer Bureau so much? Why do they want to force people into arbitration clause contracts with big banks instead of being able to form a class action? Why do you even think they give a shit about you? You don't even make enough money.
