| Snesboy said: @cosmicsex No, I'm not motivated by fear. I'm motivated by useless politicans being sent to Washington and doing nothing. I'm motivated by someone who wants to get the ball rolling through the swamp known as DC. We have seen what decades of corruption has done to this country and I'm tired of it. I'm not even 30 years old as I type this, yet I ask my elders who voted for Trump, many of them who voted for Obama, and they all seem to agree with me. Trump went to DC with an agenda: Drain the swamp (you can see it with all these so called Republicans who are not running for re-election because they don't agree with Trump's agenda) Tax Reform (this is the biggest issue for me) 1. go from 7 brackets to 4: 39.5, 25, 12, and 0% 2. get rid of moneygrab taxes such as the death tax 3. make taxes easier to file 4. double the standard deduction, which most people take, from 6,000 to 12,000 single and 12,000 to 24,000 married Keep Illegal Aliens from coming into our country and selling drugs/killing/raping people or otherwise illegal and immoral activities Keep America great for Americans REGARDLESS of skin color. What the democrats are doing, these divide and conquer politics is setting this country back by about a century. We're Americans. We should start acting like it. None of this take a knee garbage. And all this is just scratching the surface. Congrats, if you made it this far, you've made if further than most people who read my posts. |
There is zero evidence of any swamp draining in Washington. Trump has put people in offices of power that he was ordered to.
Who is the head of the treasury? What did he do before? What are his policies? Is this draining the swamp?
Are deficits a concern in budgeting? If so would you cut spending of major expenditures such as health, defense, or education?
I'll agree with filing taxes, most countries do it through the state rather than placing the burden on the citizen. I don't need my taxes lowered, I need a healthier society with greater opportunity for social mobility.
There is no data that shows immigrants commit crimes at a greater rate than citizens. The tide of immigration has also slowed dramatically in past 15 years, and the previous administration had a massive deportation program.
You seriously don't think the Republicans used divide and conquer? They admitted to it on multiple occasions. It was called the "Southern Strategy" that stoked racism to win votes for decades. They apologized for doing this. Trump is the end game of dividing people in nearly every conceivable category, he's an internet troll who holds the highest office in the land.
That "take a knee garbage" was initiated by a veteran to show respect for the flag and soldiers while peacefully protesting a social issue.
I made it that far, and while it is clear we fundamentally disagree on nearly every issue, so let's try to take one that perhaps we can agree on.
End corruption by removing money in political process. Public financing of elections so the politicians are held accountable by voters, and not donors. The truth is they don't care about you or me, they care about the people that write large checks and tell them how to vote. You can have legislation with 8% approval rating, but if donors want it, it passes. This isn't a party issue, it is a democracy issue that infects every facet of our society.
