Where does VGC get software numbers from? Those Rabbid sales don't look right considering the reports we've had on its success and its strong position on the Amazon charts prior to release.

I doubt VG Chartz tracking in Mario vs. Rabbits case. The game did well on amazon and the eshop and had a lot of positivity around it. It would also scale horribly with other territories, something is up.

The trifecta is still showing healthy legs though.

Nintendo contributed to help Ubisoft make the game. So the time and money Nintendo spent should have gone to a New Super Mario Game imo.

Nintendo has enough manpower to make a NSMB game if they want. I doubt that they contributed with a lot of resources to this game. Well, I'm almost sure of that. This game hasn't affected Nintendo planning at all, I guess they just leave Ubisoft make the whole game with some control over it, and that's it.

I assume you're referring to Rabbids? Lost Legacy has a higher rating than Splatoon 2. Pissing contests aside though, all three are within 2 points of each other. Given the general variance we tend to see on sites like metacritic, i'd consider them effectively tied.
