Forums - Gaming - Gran Turismo Sport vs Forza Motorsport 7 comparison with the Corvette C7

Looks like Forza has very little real-time shadowing. And the colors are much more bland. Pretty sad for an 8th gen game. Especially when it's supposed to be a flagship for the console.

Really, this game has had little hype that I have seen. And the reception for it doesn't seem that great, either. It just came out, but has already slipped to #90 on Amazon and may be dropping out of the Top 100. It also has a 2 1/2 star rating on Amazon. Reading some of the reviews, it's obvious they aren't just some fanboys trying to downvote it for no reason.

I mean, the mainline Forza games haven't been big in a while. Since 4 actually. I don't expect 7 to do much better.

As for the ratings, the game seems good but it has some monetization issues.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

The car in GT Sport looks like a toy, on the other hand the trees on Forza look like origamis.

It still amazes me that these racing games always look amazing on trailer or replay modes, but in real gameplay still look like crap. DriveClub outclasses every racing game I've seen so far.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Both look like great games but they're no Mario Kart 8

I agree the lighting looks better in GT, but Forza 7's recording is just bad. The colors in the video are washed out but I think you know that.

I don't think anybody is arguing Forza has the best visuals of all racing games, more importantly has very polished visuals, locked at 60 fps, and offers a ton of content. Even if GT Sport looks better, its appears to be slim on content and has been in development for a long time.

Its funny you mention the Amazon reviews and completely ignore the Metacritic. That's usually a sign somebody has an agenda.

Forza makes way better job in third person/behind car view. I feels like you're actually driving the car, where in GT or PC2 the car is glued to the camera. Apart from that, it looks like GT is a winner. Also all of that really doesn't matter if the game play sucks. I guess I'm gonna have to play all three games to find out.

Car looks much better in GT Sport. Track looks a bit better on Forza 7. But regardless of graphics, I think Forza is going to be the better game.

It's hard to decide which has better weather, None of them has bad weather, they look pretty even matched, but the clouds and sky in GT make it look like it might start to rain later in the day, while Forza appears to be clearing up, so I guess Forza wins again.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

- George Orwell, ‘1984’

Forza 7 looks way better on a standard Xbox One, let alone One X. Honestly.

GT Sport looks great though. I thinke both have their highs and lows if played on either console, but if GT Sport keeps it's visual consistency this time it might be the better looking game actually. Forza 7 on the other hand has it's perfect 60fps and, at least right now, is the one with really great looking weather conditions.

And here I tought the environments in GT looked bland. Both look wah less impressive than the environments in Driveclub though.
