The second one sounds to me more like alcohol and religion privilege, which are terrible things that happen across all all demographics and countries.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Sorry, I was being facetious. Unfortunately Germans aren't blessed with comedic skill =(

The Muslim situation in Europe is essentially this. If you live in areas where there are Muslims, you're probably not worried about them (Around 9/10 chance), you hear some news about shit that happens, but that isn't about 99.99% of them; just like other people - look at all the mass shootings in the US, thousands of them in the last decade, it doesn't mean you need to be suspicious of every American. If you live in areas where Muslims generally don't exist, you feel like you're fucking terrified, feeling under siege, and wonder when you are going to be the next victim - if Muslims were dangerous, it is the people who who have almost no chance of being harmed by them that are the most afraid.

For comparison's sake, the refugee crime is no where near the huge spike that was seen after East Germany was let back in. I think part of the big issue with refugees who commit crimes is a lot of them are very young, and do not have a proper upbringing. There is definitely no benefit to being Muslim, as there is much more scrutiny on behaviour.

See, this is why i'm confused. I generally try to follow some politics in European countries, but on the situation of terrorism is seems like 50% of the people on the internet think there's a legit issue, whereas the other 50% just call them no-life bigots who sit on their computer all day. I don't know what's true! Damn fearmongering.

Whenever there's an attack, it's a very big deal, but after a while people don't care anymore. Terrorism sounds very scary, but isn't isn't nearly as much of a problem as car accidents and other stuff like that.

Of course, there are always people who start panicking in bad times, which gives extreme left and right parties a (temporary) boost.

Making things about race which have nothing to do with race is so edgy.

There will be people that will dismiss what you say Soundwave but you do speak the truth.  Other groups definitely do not have the luxury or any individual doing something like this not painted as the typical of that group instead of the atypical.

Soundwave's comment can be dismissed because he doesn't realise that white dudes can be muslims too. He also doesn't realise that you can't ban native citizens.

That is not the point.  If this guy said he converted to the Islamic or Muslim faith, then people would still just blame the people of the Islamic or Muslim faith even if the majority of them do not following killing or terrorism.  If the person was brown or black, then instead of looking at that one individual doing something bad, the entire race, religion, or ethic group would be condemned for that one person action.  You do not hear the lone wolf used when the person is of another race instead you get the same rhetoric that the president used for people crossing the border as rapist and murders.  Painting a group for the less than 1% that does a crime.

Thank goodness it wasn't another terrorist attack! Shootings are shootings, y'know? That's the price of freedom kiddo - don't be so triggered.

The women were still given 6 months suspended sentence and 150 hours each community service.  You and your meme make it appear that they were completely free.

Don't let your bias get in the way of facts or anything.

So the article is correct that they escaped jail then.

While her attackers celebrated after sentancing with Ambaro Maxamed writing on her Twitter account: ‘Happy happy happy!’, ‘I’m so going out’, and ‘Today has been such a great day', Rhea is left with a mixture of feelings

It annoys me how the media isn't branding this as a terrorist attack. If the man was olive skinned he'd be branded a Muslim Extremist, whether or not he actively practices the faith. SMH.

Terrorism is defined as using coercion to manipulate government/ established authority decisions in favor of a particular ideology. This guy was just a nutcase who decided he was done with life, and wanted to take as many people as he could out with him.

You're right about that. But we still don't know the reason so we can't call it terrorism yet but it may still be.
