Soundwave's comment can be dismissed because he doesn't realise that white dudes can be muslims too. He also doesn't realise that you can't ban native citizens.

That is not the point.  If this guy said he converted to the Islamic or Muslim faith, then people would still just blame the people of the Islamic or Muslim faith even if the majority of them do not following killing or terrorism.  If the person was brown or black, then instead of looking at that one individual doing something bad, the entire race, religion, or ethic group would be condemned for that one person action.  You do not hear the lone wolf used when the person is of another race instead you get the same rhetoric that the president used for people crossing the border as rapist and murders.  Painting a group for the less than 1% that does a crime.
