Nah, but I'm pretty convinced the first game took advantage of the Nintendo fandom to hype the game. All things considered, I hope it ended selling the closest to zero as possible.

Well, its not the studio's fault that the Wii U was underpowered. It was running well on Wii U in the early stages of development, but by the end the Wii U version was running at like 17fps or something cause of the underpowered hardware. If you really wanted the massively downgraded version and outright broken version of the game, then fine, you have all the right to be upset. Also, it was also the better financial decision as well to cancel it since the Wii U base was too small to justify the port. In other words, it wouldnt have sold jackshit on Wii U. Cause if youre a sim racer fan, you would own something that not a wii U.

Sorry, but that's not an excuse imho. It's obvious that the WiiU was underpowered compared to a PS4/One. Still, the developers said a hundred times that "no worries, the game works fine on the WiiU", reassuring Nintendo fandom constantly that the game is going to release. They even provided some pics about the game running on the WiiU, which turns out to be bullshots in the end. What's worse, they release a statement saying that the game was always a maybe. That's bullshit. What's more, the game was hyped by the Nintendo fandom, a lot, because it was shown as a possible technical high for the console, and because it was going to be the only racing sim the console would have. So, instead of inform Nintendo fandom about the "maybe", they assured us that the game was working fine on the system, so they can make a profit from it. In this case, free publicity. As far as I'm concerned, they can go bankrupt and I would probably laugh about it. These type of practices are the worst, no matter how you look at it. And there're already a lot of shitty policies on the gaming world, but this was probably the worst case I've heard.
And, well, I like racing sims, and as far as I'm concerned, I'll buy GTSport, so I can play a racing sim, made by a company which I trust way more.
As a bonus "track" XD you can check this awesome comment by Ian Bell, from this awesome company, about WiiU owners:
"You won't hear this elsewhere, but in the industry we call you 'The 2%'.
You represent 2% of the purchases but create 98% of the hassle for developers by well, just what you've stated above. Going on channels to tell everyone 'don't buy this game!!' because you have some personal grief.
Honestly, if your followers are like minded people we could chop a good chunk off of that 2% in one fell swoop. You'd be doing us a great favour."
That's a fragment, full conversation in here:

So, yeah, really, I wish they go bankrupt.
