GT5 online already had me hooked for months, GT6 a bit less due to it splintering the userbase and not giving any real improvements to the online lobby systems, but still good fun. Now I'm torn, GT Sport looks to be great to play online, however VR is only off-line against AI. Perhaps it can pull me back out of VR but first I'll be racing exclusively in VR. It would be so awesome to play GT Sport online in VR, why are you so proud PD, just put ps2 car models in game and let me race online! |
Perhaps there will be some update allowing p2p VR or other options down the line. It will probably depend on the request of users, maybe most of the over 2M PSVR users will buy GT Sport and demand more features on the VR side of GTS.

Sorry, but that's not an excuse imho. It's obvious that the WiiU was underpowered compared to a PS4/One. Still, the developers said a hundred times that "no worries, the game works fine on the WiiU", reassuring Nintendo fandom constantly that the game is going to release. They even provided some pics about the game running on the WiiU, which turns out to be bullshots in the end. What's worse, they release a statement saying that the game was always a maybe. That's bullshit. What's more, the game was hyped by the Nintendo fandom, a lot, because it was shown as a possible technical high for the console, and because it was going to be the only racing sim the console would have. So, instead of inform Nintendo fandom about the "maybe", they assured us that the game was working fine on the system, so they can make a profit from it. In this case, free publicity. As far as I'm concerned, they can go bankrupt and I would probably laugh about it. These type of practices are the worst, no matter how you look at it. And there're already a lot of shitty policies on the gaming world, but this was probably the worst case I've heard. And, well, I like racing sims, and as far as I'm concerned, I'll buy GTSport, so I can play a racing sim, made by a company which I trust way more. As a bonus "track" XD you can check this awesome comment by Ian Bell, from this awesome company, about WiiU owners: "You won't hear this elsewhere, but in the industry we call you 'The 2%'.
That's a fragment, full conversation in here: So, yeah, really, I wish they go bankrupt. |
Well, you can put more emphasis on the Nintendo fandom that were oblivious to the technical limitations of the WiiU. The very ones that try to put that Mario 3D was almost on the same techical level of UC4 because of art direction. When you expect the impossible only lies will satisfy your demands.

What bullshots? There were no bullshots. No pics, no gifs, no video, no offscreen, nothing. Zilch. IMHO, the Wii U version was never a thing. It was just a lie, a blatant lie to stir up hype. It was one of the most transparent acts of ongoing manipulation I have ever seen. Especially since over the course of literally a couple of months they went from the Wii U looking great with them driving around in the most demanding courses to "woops, looks like the Wii U can't handle it!" I'm not saying that the Wii U could. I'm saying they knew it couldn't very, very early on. Probably from day one. |
Bull shots of the game itself (for PC, PS4, X1) not specific to one console.
But yes it is quite possible that they were lying on either they doing the WiiU version or that it even looked semi-decent.
