I don't think it has much to do with PC2, rather the publicity they managed to milk with the supposed Wii U version has a lot to do with the bar set by PC1.

I didn't believe the WiiU hype and their Bull shots, but I still gave it a shot when it was less than 20 bucks, played a lot and doesn't feel bad for the purchase... but I can't deny they overpromissed a lot and that totally didn't make me want to go for PC2.

Nah, but I'm pretty convinced the first game took advantage of the Nintendo fandom to hype the game. All things considered, I hope it ended selling the closest to zero as possible.

That I would agree, and although I don't cheer for anyone failure, I also can't be bothered to cheer for this game high sales.

What bullshots?  There were no bullshots.  No pics, no gifs, no video, no offscreen, nothing.  Zilch.  IMHO, the Wii U version was never a thing.  It was just a lie, a blatant lie to stir up hype.  It was one of the most transparent acts of ongoing manipulation I have ever seen.  Especially since over the course of literally a couple of months they went from the Wii U looking great with them driving around in the most demanding courses to "woops, looks like the Wii U can't handle it!"  I'm not saying that the Wii U could.  I'm saying they knew it couldn't very, very early on.  Probably from day one.
