True. At this rate Nintendo will keep mainline Zeldas as cross gen games since it paid off again (first it happened with Twilight Princess). Ah, it's not like we would get a new mainline Zelda before 2021 anyways. xD

Breath of the Wild is on track to reach 10m on Switch alone.

More like "not before 2022" if Skyward Sword and Botw are anything to go by. :P

I hope the next Zelda is not cross gen, cos I don't want Switch to be replaced until 2023 at the earliest.

And I agree, I hope it's exclusive to Switch and I hope it lasts until at least 2023 as well.

Amazing BoTW legs
remember Skyward Sword was at first the fastest seller in the saga, but fell extremely quickly and did not have the best legs
While BOTW is having some of the best legs and Christmas season is just two months away
I predict 6.5 million BoTW by end of the year (Wii U+ Switch digital and retail)

Well, Skyward Sword did launch at the tail end of its platform's lifespan, while Botw launched alongside Switch.

And I'd say you're lowballing it; Botw was over 5 million at the end of June, 6.5 by the end of the year seems too little.

7 million would mean 2 million in the second 6 months of the year, I think that's doable.
