The reason that happense is because everytime the PS3 has a good showing, no matter what the reason, several particular Sony fanboys make posts about how the PS3 is on track to be the new dominant console, and this week is just the first step. Then, many people come in and burst their bubble, of all fanboyages, with the news that, desite strong sales, aren't as good as the Wii sales.

That isn't most adult response for all parties involved.

However, when you say the Wii is undertracked, and the PS3 is overtracked, you are implying that you don't give VGChartz the benefit of the doubt. You say that historically the PS3 has been undertracked and the Wii overtracked, but that's just not true. In fact, Nintendo claims the Wii shipped(and sold, since supply contraint was strong at that point, all shipped Wii's were sold) 20 mill by last december, but VGChartz had the Wii a little lower than that, so over the long run it was slightly undertracked. If anything, VGChartz hardware numbers are dead on.

So, you tend to be basing your undertracked and overtracked suggestions on your own belief that the PS3 should sell more than it does, and the Wii should sell less, and not off any factual evidence, or even anecdotal evidence.

That is attempting to discredit the site, and second guess ioi, who actually put in a lot of time and work to come to his conclusions, unlike you.

That, is far worse than Marioboys teasing Kratosboys, with "Nintendomination" taunts.

Those PS3 and 360 numbers should really be boosted massively at the end of this month (maybe a small boost from GT), and stay high through May, and then June for the PS3

I mean c'mon, even if th PS3 sold only 10 k less than the Wii in others, it's still getting it's butt handed to itself in the other regions, Japan especially. Your arguements that we don't take into account PS3's good week is ased on the fact that overall it still is losing by a pretty darn big amount.

Not to mention that the Wii has had a phenomenal 1st quarter and continues to have a good streak on to the 2nd while the ps3 only now has shown a fang or two.

 Well, when the sales are "dismally low", you can hardly blame fanboys to not scream out "over-tracked". can you?

I wonder what Microsoft's April pre-NPD's excuse going to be. 

As a Nintendo fan I cannot enjoy the weekly sales numbers anymore, because one week is up the other down, and it just gets annoying reading "the fad is over" comments on the low weeks.

Now, is not that I want the other consoles to die or loose, is just that after the N64 and the GC, I want my console of choice to be on top (that way I can get more choice of games).
