Ok so go and look at it again smh. This game opened better than a couple others and its in line with some of the regular releases. Its also a remake not a new line game. Other M opened up at 44k so your math is wrong too

(30000 / 44000) * 100 = 68% = opened at less than 70% of Other M's opening.

Please point out how my match is incorrect.

Your math is correct, i was wrong. That said why are you only pointing out other m? Its not the last metroid release. Federation force is if you want to be technical. It opened at under 5k. So the franchise is up 300%

Of course im not taking it that far but its still did good since its a remake and compared to all the games before it. Lets not spin anymore pls

I'm glad to see most people are finally accepting the Switch as a hybrid rather then putting it as just a handheld or just a home console. It is the succesor to the Wii U and the 3DS, it has the benefit of being both handheld and home console.

I've been making this point since it was revealed but I'm happy to see the majority now concur. Maybe my endless arguing wasn't all in vein.

Obviously you'll get a few people will still try and argue it's just a handheld or just a home console but they're in the minority.

Nobody has ever denied that the Switch itself is a hybrid machine.

There were people who used to mock me in these threads when I used to talk about it as a hybrid.

No, people were mocking you because you illogically think that Switch should sell 3DS and Wii U numbers combined.

Well, that might as well be the goal, considering that it's been selling pretty well.

Its not about it being a goal. The thing is he and similar mind set of people think that it has to sell combine of those two which is wrong in itself. That said its not guaranteed at all to sell 3ds figures in Japan. For a goal of combine wiiu+3ds, switch would need numbers close to ds...

I should point out that this is in the context of Japan alone. The best-selling console in Japan is only at 33 million. Expecting Switch to sell 28 million (3DS + Wii U lifetime) in Japan alone is the equivalent of expecting Switch to sell 134 million worldwide.

Federation Force did not have Samus Aran in it and is just a poorly-received spin-off. Other M was the last one with Samus. If you want I can re-word it: It opened below all mainline Metroid games bar Echoes.

Its still funny though as i agree with what you say about FF but you still ignore the new release being a remake. And on top of it it was still close to other games in sales
