Different games doesn't mean they won't compete, I also don't think they started work on it later I reckon both games were started on at the same time when Bethesda were introduced to the Switch hence why they already have a working custom build version of Id Tech 6 up and running for the Switch with in the platforms first 10 months.

Imo Bethesda has made a calculated move here as they're anticipating developers like EA and Activision to not make a serious attempt on the platform meaning the is a potential to enjoy good success if they secure the spot in the userbase for them to provide to the Switch what Turok and Goldeneye provided to the N64.

Everyone would have said it's fake seeing as Doom is a AAA title on PS4/X1 so those that knew of it didn't bother.

Well, given the Wii and Wii U borrowed heavily from the GameCube and that emulators were figuring out the Wii U shortly after launch, I imagine Nintendo has made it a touch more difficult this time around. That clean break from the predecessors may delay the emulators a few years.

I really hope LA Noire sells well... it would be pretty awesome if Rockstar decided to port GTA V or even RRR 2 over to the Switch.

There'd probably be some sacrifices (donno if they could manage resolutions high enough to justify the first person view that they introduced for the PS4/Xbox1), but at the very least GTA V is definitely feasible given it ran on my PS3 just fine.

Agree, it's way more important than La Noire sells better than other 3rd party game, great La Noire sales could bring GTA 5 to Switch, and possible even GTA 6 later, and we know that GTAV most popular game ever.

I know it's been sold out constantly everywhere. I went to a couple stores yesterday and both of them had 1 or 2 in stock. I was blown away. Almost bought one but then I realized there aren't enough games that I want to play on it yet.

I didn't even know DOOM was coming to Switch. Looks awesome though. Have it on PC so I won't be double-dipping.
