I got DC and DC 2 on PS4 I really disliked the second one but I enjoyed the first one (even platinumed it) it had many flaws (breakable weapons/annoying enemies) but I liked the idea of going into a dungeon and finding pieces of a village and see the villages getting bigger and more usefull.

You don't need a big budget for me to make it fun. 

A big map where in the middle you save some people who are tired of running and they start to make a village/city in the middle of it, give you more quests weapons/items and you explore the world and find more people who then also go live in your village. The idea to see that village grow seems very entertaining for me if done right. 

Dark Cloud 1 and 2 would be nice to have as an HD re-release. That could also work as a test for possible interest in a third game.

By copy are you meaning a Physical release? because Darck Cloud 2 is on the PSN.

Let's hope Dark Cloud 3 will be developed. Although Dark Cloud 3 could have been a killer app in Vita. Such shame they didn't capitalize. 

I never got around to getting DC2. I played the first but not extensively. I still have it. I think Sony should release an HD collection of the first 2 games on PS4.

Replayed the original in 2015. Still good, if flawed.

Well, they've been re-released on PSN and done decently there. There's some demand for the series, but it would never be a big hitter. I don't think any standard JRPG will be a big hitter without a perfect storm or fresh IP.

I'd like to see Dark Cloud 3, or at the very least, a modern take on that formula. It was a pretty unique game.

To be fair, they'd only be financing it and providing support, rather than developing it entirely on their own.
