Eh, you want general, movies, and music related topics to stay on the front page because you like them, and you want the politics discussion to disappear from the front page to disappear because you don't enjoy them. 

That's my problem with these types of threads, you guys selectively want to exclude topics you don't like, justifying it by "vgchartz is a gaming forumzzz". If that was the case, then you shoud vouch for excluding all non-gaming related topics from the front page. 

Anyway, Trucks should spend that supporters' gold to implement the bolded feature request and everyon we'll be happy.

I've made this thread twice and have tried to make something else become popular on vgchartz :/

Both art and original music never carried on. It'd be nice if something else got traction on here

It's not a current trend. The internet as a whole has always had this effect.

It's a current trend. When I first got the internet 20 plus years ago, the majority of people gravitated towards things they liked. You skipped over the things you weren't interested in. Now the opposite is true.

Random acts of violence aside, agreed, fuck political threads. Not a single one of them is positive, and it only reminds us of humanity's ugliness.

It's always filled with 'stupid liberals' or rants about how (insert group) is actually behind everything. There's a boogey man to a lot of people, whether it'd be Trump, Soros, or anyone else.

 

Pretty toxic, but that's politics. Usually smaller threads are the more interesting ones. I made one about the UK's law changes surrounding acid attacks and the conversation was solid. Once it grows or involves us politics (typically left vs right), it turns into a shitfest

That's the thing, politics thread are popular because they users enjoy them, not only because they are on the front page. So I find this constant whining to be disgustingly selfish.

I think some people here have mistaken my intentions. I'm perfectly fine with the political threads on the front page, but I know that many aren't, so I'm willing to lose a little convenience for the sake of others.
