People need to learn impluse control. For the life of me, I can't understand the current trend of people not being able to ignore things they don't like. 

It's not a current trend. The internet as a whole has always had this effect.

It's a current trend. When I first got the internet 20 plus years ago, the majority of people gravitated towards things they liked. You skipped over the things you weren't interested in. Now the opposite is true.
