2. Does it really matter if it needs an XBL login? In order to play many EA titles online you need an Origin account. In order to play many Ubisoft titles you need an UbiClub or whatever account. When I bought GTA V on Xbone I was forced to log in to an old Rockstar Club account before playing. Etc, etc. It doesn't matter.

Sony is just caught up in their own hubris just like MS was last gen when they shunned cross platform play. Just like with EA Access. Give any of these three console companies a taste of success and they literally get retarded on you.

I view that as a major problem.  I was surprised that I had to create a free xbox live account when I bought GTA4 on Steam.  I had to create the fucking account to just play single player and be able to save the game because it was Games for Windows Live.  It might not piss you off but all these seperate sign ups and shit are annoying to me. 

I had to register email for Tropico 4 also.  I don't want to create an account; I don't want to give you my email, etc... Can you understand someone with this viewpoint?  I just want to play the fucking game not have to create accounts for every fucking company.

If Sony don't want to have Minecraft crossplay on the PS4 then MS should just not bother with the platform there is plenty of other places and a big enough market to play Minecraft elsewhere anyway.

It's not too difficult to think up some more realistic reasons than holding a grudge. Will MS honor and keep a blocked players list? Investigate harassment reports? How will messaging work with their own sets of sensored words, including usernames that might be offensive in other language areas? Who is going to put the money, time and effort in to implement and oversee cross platform issues. And sure, in the end it's all more trouble than it's worth for Sony.

If MS want it then don't require xbl on psn. Sony won't allow it.

It's always the first assumption if it is about Nintendo, so why shouldn't we assume the same for Sony?
