They're justifiably worried now that both Sony and Nintendo have consoles that are selling significantly more than the Xbox One. The free games do work, considering how the XOne bundle jumped up to 42, but they're really just treating the symptoms of being a less desirable product at this point.

But long term, do they REALLY work?  Remember when fire sales with two games put it in the top 10?  Then it was 3 games in the top 15.  Now it has fallen to 4 games in the top *50*.  Now in order to get to the top 10 or even 15 for brief spans without a massive new release is to toss in 3 or 4 large games WITH a price cut on top of the $40 off the console is already listed at.  These firesales are short term gains at the cost of long term brand devaluation

I don't know if they can really be called firesales. Pretty much every "Limited Time Offer" became a permanent aspect of the Xbox One bundles. The brand itself already isn't that valuable, and that's more a result of Microsoft's stumbles in 2013 and then their shortage of genuine exclusives. They can't compete in their games selection, so offering more value for the price is all they can really do. The Xbox One is only selling decently, but it would still be selling worse if they didn't have all of these price reductions and free games. I mean, look at the Wii U: Nintendo was selling those at $300 to the bitter end, and it shows in the sales data.

Wait xbox is throwing in FOUR games now? Wasn't it three before?

It is still more than 3 months before the X1X comes out.

I think it's mainly just Amazon trying to clear out stock before the Madden bundle comes out at the end of the month, none of the other retailers are having similar offers.

Miitopia is doing crazy good. Even selling more than Pikmin.

Splatoon is showing great legs thus far, and Zelda, my God.

Sorry for the bad formatting. Whenever I try to do it it comes out weird. How to you do it so well poklane?

Also, Mario Kart Wii is back in the Top 100. Holy shit does that game have some legs. It's looking like NSMBWii is hovering around just outside the Top 100 as well.

Incidentally, those are Nintendo's two most undertracked games: 1.43 million and 1.65 million respectively. They were still being shipped as of last fiscal year. They probably still are, but Nintendo hasn't updated the Wii or DS software yet this year.

Switch (neon): #17 (↑1)

New 2DS XL (Black & Turquoise): #36 (↓3)
New 3DS XL (Galaxy): #37 (↑2)
PS4 Pro: #52 (↑4)
XBO 500GB standalone: #83 (↓16)
XBO 500GB Minecraft bundle: #86 (re-entry)

Now for the final rankings for Week 31:

Switch (grey): #12
Switch (neon): #18
PS4 Uncharted 4 bundle: #21
New 2DS XL (Black & Turquoise): #36
New 3DS XL (Galaxy): #38
PS4 Pro: #55
XBO 500GB Minecraft bundle: #82

Dang, whenever Nintendo's brand gets a shot in the arm those darn games come back.

It will be interesting to see who took July and who takes August in the States. The Splatoon shipments seemed to be sizeable and I've seen more frequent stock refreshes at my local Best Buy, Walmart, and Target while Game Stop apparently got shipments as well.   But it's hard to judge overall, especially with Amazon apparently being low on the list for shipments.  Probably due in part to the scalper situation.

I just copy-paste it.
