Forums - Nintendo - Don't forget to leave feedback on the Nintendo App

I have a feeling that a lot potential changes are going to depend on what the Japanese audience thinks. If they hate the app, I'd bet Nintendo would change its glaring flaws a hell of a lot faster than they would with our displeasure alone.

The whole idea of an app for voice chat is ridiculous.

If you're using a phone you can just you know, phone a friend.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

Yeah, I've just did it. I like companion apps for games, but I really despise the voice chat in a mobile app. So that was my criticism.

But, if they want to keep that awful idea, at least make it work in the background, or with the screen off. Or else battery will fly away.

How anyone can rate it is beyond me. It hasn't fully launched until it works with a get, then we can rate it. We shouldn't even be discussing this yet. It's like reviewing a cake before the icing is added to it.

Except here we know the app is an unnecessary workaround to something that could've been included with the system itself.

How do you know this? Genuinely interested as to your links with Nintendo.

I know this because voice chat has been included with other technology items.

I don't need to be linked to Nintendo to know that they can put a voice chat program in the Switch.  Just like I don't need to be linked to Sony to know that the PS4 isn't the only system that is capable of doing voice chat.

Weird how having an informed opinion works isn't it?

Sorry, but I like the idea of being able to leave my switch to go get a bag of chips and still talk with people while my phone is on me.

You could just, you know, call them on the phone to talk to them.

I understand some of that, im not saying screw the app. I'm saying that the Switch shouldn't be co-dependent on a phone for half of its online features. I just wish it was optional.

If you rather the inner workings of the Playstation why not go off and figure out why that doesn't play PS 1 and 2 games then why instead people are asked to pay 12-15e per PS2 game and PSone isn't available to buy on the system. It's perfectly capable of running them but instead charges money for or point blank refuses to allow them be played.

At least the Switch has the function you are complaining about, it's just in a roundabout way they are providing it and a way that allows them to have kids playing online without voice chat very easily, What the Playstation 4 is "not capable" of doing there is solely to nickle and dime their customers for more money.

I was waiting for somebody to post this rationale.

I hope you don't eat chips while gaming.  You'll get your controller all greasy.

I try to keep my game room as a food-free zone.

I can do the same thing. With the PS4 controller.
