well, that's too bad. However what I said is hard facts, considering this is a sales thread to discuss about sales.. if you think it makes no sense then that is a delusion. No need to make a fuss about it.

''it was smooth sailing for zelda, considering it having no other NS games for competition.''

This is not smooth sailing, there is Mario Kart, Splatoon, ARMS next week in the update we'll figure about. You're making it seems like there is nothing around the corner or already released, that is hardly ''hard facts''.

Mario Kart came out 8 weeks later. Splatoon and ARMS is not even out yet, a 3-4 month gap. So what competition are you talking about?

It's the game that sells more units than consoles to play it on. Atari wanted Pac-Man on 2600 to do that, but it didn't work out that way...

We're talking about being the #1 seller of the year, which includes all remaining week until 2018 starts. No matter when Zelda released, it does have competition with all those games. 1-2 Switch could have had been, and it's still selling at a steady rate. Zelda would have sold probably as much even though it had launch with 10 big AAA games. It's smooth sailing because it's Zelda, not because there isn't any game on the console.

that's a whole lot of speculative talk, but I won't dismiss it.. If I hear something like Zelda is in competition with 2018 Kirby... >_>

I woudl say Zelda's competition is Switch units. I mean everytime i hear official numbers, Zelda has a like 100%+ attach ratio.

Does it matter what other games are out, if clearly people are buying the switch for Zelda at the moment. A person who doesn't like Zelda would have probably waited on purchasing the system, and are now kicking themselves because they can't find a system to buy for the game they want. (As others ahve said, the Switch has many great games out now. And many soon. Probably one of the best 1st year libraries of any new system. Most all systems have shitty first year software)

I will come back to this thread to laugh at people who think that that weird 3D Mario game (every 3D Mario is weird) is gonna outsell a phenomenon such as BotW. Hahahahahahahahah. When was the last time a weird 3D Mario game caused a Nintendo system to be sold out for months? That is right, never.

3D Mario always did better than Zelda, what are you talking about?3D Mario always sold systems too.I cant really say when the last time that happened, but Im pretty sure Galaxy and Mario 64 must have done that.

And I mean, If Zelda is selling so well that makes you think it will outsell Odyssey, that great because that demonstrates that all Nintendo games are becomming competitive again, and not just a few franchises are able to sell mounstrous numbers, like Mario Kart, Animal Crossing and Pokemon does(comparing to the Wii U games)

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

So much denial from weird 3D mario fans!!! It is funny! As of now it is safe to assume that BotW has already surpassed that failed 3D Mario game for the Wii U, despite all supply issues caused by the massive demand that BotW has created. In One or Two years from now, BotW will have Skrym-like sales. No weird 3D Mario game has ever done that and never will.

Please, if you are not willing to discuss and just flame this thread with hate, just dont post.I dont want to have to report you, even though you probably already have been reported.
