Forums - Sales - Xbox sales seem way too low, 5:1 is crazy.

so you have been contradicting yourself this whole time?

"The individual games sell better because there's relatively no third party games as competition and those games are tailored made for those fans. Those fans bought the console for those games."

Nope.

which is a contradiction of the point you are trying to make, that Nintendo games sell well do to less competition.

It's incredible how far people can go with their mental gymnastics to dismiss everything successful about Nintendo.

Best part about all this is how people were saying the slim was now the more desirable console when it outsold PS4 last year. So much crow was eaten when the sales collapsed and PS4 is back to winning bigger gaps then ever before.

Haha well said.  I knew it would happen though.  Playstations software line up is just so far ahead the gamers were going to always side with Playstation.

While you may be right that not everyone cares for exclusives (also I think it's just an apology atm...you'd sing a different song if XBox actually had any) I just don't see why anyone who isn't rich or a true MS fanboy would buy that thing, let alone preorder it, when Sony is obviously already preparing the PS5?! Plus MS will be forced to get the price down to 400 max really soon after release (in a year's time, mark my words).

if there were signs that MS was indeed upping their questionable support, but how it is...why would I want to support that attitude?! They are about to abandon their third console early...in a row!

I know they ended support early for the original Xbox but other than that it hasn't happened. The 360 lauched in 2005 and they ended production last year.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

I imagine the ratio is more like 3:1 every week, just that they are playing catch up to the 60.4 million number.

Really enjoy my Xbox one, great console, prefer my ps4 but still very happy with the xbox one. Both great consoles with many great games to enjoy. Love the backwards compatibility too.

It could do with dredging some of the old pc classics and bringing to the console cheap. So many x86 games that could be easily converted to enhance their catalogue. Maybe even give them away exclusively as monthly games.

Every console sells best in the Xmas period, but this gap is usually even wider for MS ones.
Besides that, PS4 sales got a big boost compared to the same period last year, so the difference is huge this year, but XBOne is not going worse that last year, actually this week it sold just a little worse than the week ending on 11th June 2016, but a lot better than the week ending on 4th June 2016. And if we examine a four week window, it's doing a lot better YoY.
So we can most likely expect it to be the third seller WW this year, but with more than decent numbers.

He's right. In Europe 90% of Xbox One tv apps were not available. But yeah no one watches nfl or cnn here. :)

Yeah... and in an specific part of the market - Japan - XboxOne is pratically ignored.

Here in South America, the Xbox brand has a huge following - result of the good support Microsoft gives to these markets -  but lately people are more interested in the PS4 and the Switch.

Switch in South America? Where do you live?

I don't know a single person in my country who owns a Switch or are in interested in one

I mean BRL 2.200,00 for this is just crazy

Nobody should be surprised

Buying the Xbox One version of a multiplat (when you own a decent PC or PS4) is like having a car and deciding to take the bus, at a time where traffic is at its lowest.

Why would you get an Xbox One over a PS4, you get less games, and the games you do get (multiplats) are objectively worse on that system.
The gulf in quality increases when you look at getting a PC, and on the PC you can play even the Xbox One's upcoming "exclusives" better than you can on the system they were designed for.

The Switch is portable so you can play that even when you out of your house, or in bed.

There is very little reason to get a Xbox One; so people don't do it, why would they?

Yep. There are few benefits to owning an Xbox over a PlayStation or PC if you're a gamer who wants the most games. It has to be features.
