What would be the most unexpected thing for Nintendo to reveal this month? I mean, besides a new Donkey Kong game.

Zelda OoT/MM 3D on Switch

That or another WiiU port like XCX, Paper Mario Color Splash or Star Fox Zero

If only, I wish I could play those games on the big screen at a good framerate (I have the N64 versions that I bought from the Wii Virtual Console years ago but they run at like 20 fps)

Around the Network

Nintendo's website got hammered today by hungry Xenoblade fans, they broke, toppled, dazed, launched and smashed the entire thing.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Seems the 15th (next Wednesday) is the date to look out for.

I'm still not getting my hopes up. Nintendo scorned me last summer when it was Donkey Kong's 40th anniversary, and what did they have to announce regarding it? Nothing. They didn't even acknowledge the 40th anniversary of one of their most important characters, and it's even worse now that we know how much better Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze has done on Switch compared to Wii U.

I swear all you ever do is complain. For your own sake, take a step back, breathe, and take a chill pill. This obsessive negativity you have going on is unhealthy.

It's hard for not to complain when things that mean a lot to me are supposed to be there to help me get through a shitty decade, and then I turn around and they're nowhere in sight. -_-

Try to consciously focus more on the positives.

I'm sure there are games other than Donkey Kong that you enjoy. What about recent/upcoming games like Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Fire Emblem Three Hopes, Xenoblade 3, Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3, Pokémon Scarlet/Violet, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Breath of the Wild 2, etc?

You are only making it worse for yourself by obsessing over the things that make you feel bad. You'll feel much better if you focus on what you have instead of what you don't, on what you like instead of what you hate.

Donkey Kong is more than a game I enjoy. Donkey Kong Country is the first game I ever played. My father taught me how to play it. It synched with me more than Mario ever has. To not have new Donkey Kong games is like a big whole in my very being has been left wide open with nothing to fill it.

Then again, find something else to focus on. Play games you enjoy. Look forward to other games on the way. Focus on the many things you have to be thankful for.

If you have a roof over your head, clean water to drink, food to eat, and money to afford luxuries like video games then you're already better off than most of the world's population.

Constantly complaining and fixating on things that make you unhappy is pointless.

Seeing you in that state of positive/optimist mind feels me with joy remembering as you weren't too much dissimilar to Captain back in 2018.

Thanks. And yeah I spent most of my life as a rather pessimistic person.

Ironically, it was my run in with cancer that made me into a more optimistic person, as it forced me to shift to a more positive mindset just in order to stay sane and avoid collapsing into despair.

It wasn't easy to reprogram my brain, it took time and effort, but I feel so much better off as a result.

What?

Xenoblade 3 Special Edition pre-order.

They introduced a special burqa costume which made pre-orders go crazy numbers.

Here's a link to the official trailer/announcement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

Spoiler!
lol

Jokes on you, I love that song.

Honestly, the whole debacle around the XC3 special Edition got me turned off on the idea of getting it. It's clear the logistics concerning the special edition were not prepared thoroughly once they announced the game to come out earlier than initially planned.

And with the whole idea of having it centralized on a single website like theirs ... It was destined to happen.

Only good thing to come out of it is that you could say the Xenoblade community as grown enough that they could actually terminate Nintendo webstore lol. Looking good for the future sales of this game hahaha

I believe they've re-scheduled the pre-orders for NA. I was worried about this happening, but luckily the AU/NZ website was pretty much unaffected. Only strange thing is that they're shipping the base game on time, but the collector's items will ship separately later.

Xenoblade does have a troubled history with releases in NA.

This isn't really strange. The game was originally supposed to launch in September. They've had the CE stuff scheduled for then too. It's not as easy to move that stuff up by several months.
