Darn, it looks like we won't a direct before september. Maybe a mini-direct for the new paper Mario perhaps, but unlikely more then that .

So it seems that while the pandemic is going on Nintendo isn't comfortable announcing anything until 2 months before release. Most big announcements in the mini-Direct in late March come out later this month, two months later. Now Paper Mario is announced today, releasing in mid-July. We might not know what the holiday release(s) will be until September at this rate.

If a big ND drops then i would be about a big celebration regarding Mario's birthday given the rumored remasters. And since Japan is still in "Covid-19 lockdown", that could be seen as negative PR (in a cultural Japanese sense).

I beggars belief that we still don't have GTA5 on Switch. One of the most popular games ever on one of the fastest selling systems ever, and both portable and on a Nintendo system for the first time, it's such a no-brainer. Obviously it can handle it since it runs on PS3/360.
