Wishful thinking: Pokopia has an update that you can craft all the gear for the Pokemon Stadium minigames, when the scenario is done you can play with friends locally or online. And it unlocks a section right on the main menu for instant play and championship, just like the 64 versions

C'mon Nintendo! Make it real

Hey all. Do any of you watch Arlo? I’ve been keeping up with him, well, the days leading up to Switch 1’s launch. Recently though I really have begun to notice a shift in his content… anyone else notice this?

I really started noticing issues when he was making tons of videos discussing how Switch 2 is having a rough Holiday quarter (the quarter which saw over 7mil units ship WW), and recently I feel lkke it’s just been one concern post after another— just the other day, he posted about how worried he is that there may not be another Nintendo Direct for a very long time.

I can’t even watch him anymore. Just hoping this is a weird little phase of his.

Probably just because theres not much to talk about first party wise. I think several content creators are scrambling a bit for material to make videos about right now.

Reposting from ResetEra because this is just too true— I once was a “Nintendo Direct when??” Nintendo fan (like two weeks ago lol) but I’ve since changed my ways. We know that Nintendo has games planned, it’s only a matter of time before they reveal it. Nothing will be releasing prior to May, so what’s with this massive sense of urgency?

The poster forgets that we’re at the point where we don’t have anymore dates for the rest of Nintendo’s 2026 lol.

We know of Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Splatoon Raiders, and Rhythm Heaven but no release dates.

Other than Tomodachi, Nintendo’s 2026 is a complete mystery. A General Direct is just needed let alone a hype Direct lol

While I am enjoying my Switch 2 thanks to games like RE Requiem and FF7 Remake, the current first party outlook is pretty weak, so I don't blame those who are first party focused for feeling antsy.

When you've just asked people to drop $450 for a shiny new console, it's not unreasonable to expect some indication of what big Nintendo games and coming and when.

Also, commercially speaking, the likes of Tomodachi Life or the Mario Wonder port aren't system sellers, so if Nintendo wants to keep the Switch 2's sales pace they're going to have to try harder to get people excited.

That's incorrect as Tomodachi is a system seller and quite a significant one it triggered sales boosts for 3DS in both Japan and Europe when it released, first party isn't weak right now it's just focused on a different type of consumer the comfort gaming types who like games like AC. Pokopia has matched RE9 in quality for example it may not be the type of game some people here are into but it's clearly a very strong release and next moth Tomodachi launches these are even more significant than some of the games people would rather see.

He's right about hype addiction as the releases in S2's nine months are immense to the point people are being overwhelmed and having backlogs, a number of the games released aren't the vehicles for extreme hype like Octopath 0 or Pokopia but these are easily some of the best games released in general and provide a huge amount of hours of fun.

Tomodachi Life is a Switch 1 game, so it won't be a Switch 2 system seller. The audience for such games already has a Switch.
