Man I just saw the BeatEmUps video about Metroid Prime 4 and it really kinda opened my eyes a bit more towards the game. The way it kinda gives you the illusion of being more open and how it literally lies to you about it. Now I didnt really mind being told were to go as much as others, there should have been an option to turn off the guidance. I had some issues when playing the game, but there was always something to distract me from thinking about it too much. This video just highlighted some of the frustrations I had with the game, but didnt mind too much because the gameplay itself was fun for most of the time. But with that I will have to lower my score to an 8/10. I still think the game is great, but I cant ignore the faults it has.

I Stopped watching bEat Em Ups ages ago. he's so cynical and has to shit on like 90% of the stuff he covers. It's just so frustrating and fuels the negative feedback loops prevalent on Youtube (and the internet on the whole.)

I tried holding off unwatching him but when I realized almost every video he'd released in the last few months (of when I stopped watching, not today) was either stirring the pot or shitting on things I loved or 'oh woe is me I want to like this but it's so bad' about virtually everything. If you're seeking negative coverage you'll find it.

This, Youtubers/influencers who constantly peddle negativity and shit on everything are toxic, shitty people and a cancer on gaming.

REquiem is great so far, S1 had the tri-release of BOTW, SMO and XBC2 but S2 has powered through with superior third party releases with the likes of DQVIIR, Fallout 4 AE, Octopath 0, Silksong, Hades 2 etc... Even then the first party releases have been really solid and we're only 8 months in. We still have more incoming mind you.

I dont think hes that bad. He makes lots of positive videos about Nintendo too. Sure he can be negative on certain stuff Nintendo does that he doesnt like, but he makes like 1 video about it and moves on usually. He doesnt keep making like 20 videos on every little mistake or shitty thing Nintendo does. He is a big Nintendo fan and has been for most of his life. Hes just not a fanboy.....well he kinda is, but not the really bad kind. lol

Guess who’s back from his self-requested one week ban! (And just in time for the Pokémon Presents.)

Mind you this is only 8 months in.

Donkey Kong Bananza deserves even higher than 91.

So does Trails in the Sky, but it makes me happy to even see it in seventh place, that game is a masterpiece and deserves all the recognition in the world.

So we know the holiday title for 2027 now is Wind and Waves which means 2026 is still open.

But I haven't seen any indication for what 2026's big Holiday game will be.
