And I have finally 100% complete New Super Mario Bros Wii. Again, one of the most overhated games of all time— this rivals Donkey Kong Country Returns in terms of sheer quality. Definitely designed very generously (e.g. observe how I still have 74 extra lives even after having just completed World 9... and I had 99 prior to the final level (World 9-7... brutal level!!)), nowhere near as blood-boiling as DK; but it was a total delight getting to play through this game!

I look forward to beating New Super Mario Bros 2 and U (& Luigi U/Deluxe) sometime in the future... I like to take my time running through series, so probably won't be started on 2 for at least another few months/years.

Now... time for Super Mario 64: Star Road! I've heard incredible things about this game... first ROM hack I will have ever played. :)

(and yes, this screenshot is NSMBWii running at 1440p w/ UHD textures on an HDR 144Hz monitor. It is as beautiful as it sounds lol. Only crashed three times in my entire playtime.)

Would Clancy Brown be a good voice for King K Rool?

I mentioned this in the "Road to 160m" thread, but based on VGChartz estimates, percentages between sold and shipped, the hardware figures we should be on the lookout for on the 3rd are as follows, give or take:

Switch 2 - 18.32 million (+7.96m shipped)

Switch 1 - 155.48 million (+1.47m shipped)

Wait, NSMB Wii is hated??? It's my favorite in the NSMB series.

It is “overhated” in that many will dismiss the game as the “McDonald’s of Mario games” (i.e. very generic, unoriginal). People say this about all the NSMB games… though TBF can’t say it’s unmeritted given how Nintendo pumped out four of these games over the span of six-and-a-half years.
