I almost feel a bit dirty getting FF7 Remake for just $40 USD, with how good the port is they deserved full price far more than a lot of other publishers who attach it to games with a lot less effort put into them.

Also feels a bit "twilight zone" playing one of the quintessential "not on Nintendo" titles on Nintendo, but in a good way, kinda like how it felt playing Sonic on Gamecube back in the day.

Pre-ordering FF7 Rebirth for $70 on PS5 gave you FF7 Remake Intergrade for free, it was also permanently discounted to $40 before the release of Rebirth.

I was kinda hoping for the same type of thing on Switch 2, a double pack for $70. But $40 is good. Charging full price, while the game and also port is apparently great, would feel a bit rough considering what it costs elsewhere lol.

I applaud their pricing, now if only Nintendo could bring back Nintendo Selects / Player's Choice. I'm not paying $70 for a Mario Tennis, hopefully I'll be able to find it cheap eventually lol.

Nintendo’s going to announce a shadow-drop of Yoshi Woolly World onto Nintendo Switch during the February Nintendo Direct, mark my words.

Will there be a February Direct though?

Well, with the announcement of the Tomodachi Life Direct, I’m starting to wonder this myself. Looks like they’ll have all their releases through April unveiled with release dates pretty soon…

Nintendo’s gone wild this past week lol. Two directs in a single week… have they ever done such a thing before? Also, game-centered directs typically predate release by no more than a few months. My guess is that Tomodachi Life is coming in mid-to-late April.

Ok then.

Speaking of Nintendo Directs… Nintendo is not holding back any punches! Dang. Nate is very reputable, for those unaware. They’ve hit the ground running this year. If there is a true “mainline” Nintendo Direct planned for the first week of February, with all the recent reveals, I have a strong level of confidence that this direct could hold some really heavy-hitting reveals.

(Granted, seeing how they released MKWorld and DKBananza within the two month launch window of NS2, I would’ve also expected they had a massive release planned for holiday… Nintendo is very unpredictable at time.)

Okay I guess I’ll break the news lol (I’d already posted four times this morning but expected somebody else to say something): Koei Tecmo has announced that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment has shipper 1mil copies! Nowhere near as big as Age of Calamity, though for the size of NS2’s install-base, these are some okay figures all-in-all. I’m hoping the next entry will be a but more original, personally.

I wonder if Nintendo's gonna have some kind of special sale to promote the Mario Galaxy movie.
