I don't even know why they rushed the release in time for Christmas. It's not like the physical edition was gonna be out then anyway. At least this update will be on the card.

Yeah it was weirdly unlike Nightdive to release a game in such a poor state. I want to play it, but I'm gonna wait til it's fixed first, quite disappointing.

Looking forward to playing Super Mario RPG, I've only ever played a couple of hours or so of the original on SNES. Noticed a big difference in time to beat on HLTB though? Is it a lot more streamlined in some way to make it quicker than the SNES version? Or is this just not accurate?

The remake adds an optional "breezy" mode where you don't need to grind as much.

Useful spreadsheet here with info on how unpatched Switch 1 games run better on Switch 2. I knew a few like Ni No Kuni 2 getting 60fps, good to have all this info compiled.

Finished What Remains of Edith Finch on Switch 1.

I'm not normally into these type of narrative adventure games as I usually need some kind of action to keep me engaged, but the haunting story and some clever light gameplay kept me hooked here til the end.

Well worth the $7.

Did that one in a single seating. I don't usually want to get caught up in these "walking simulator" experiences. But it was a smart game employing a lot of different atmosphere to convey it's story.

If the rumor of the next Zelda being a sequel to Tears of The Kingdom is true, who could the villain be now that Ganon's gone?

Doubt it's a sequel to TOTK that era is done tbh the recent rumours suggest it'll retain the approach of TOTK but will be a different era, the are claims of a core mechanical similar to ALTTP where you shift between realms but it's all just claims at the moment.

I hope they don't continue the formula, because I'm incredibly burned out on open-world games to the point where I won't play them anymore. At least for the foreseeable future. But I'm also aware that would be financially idiotic on Nintendo's part, considering both games sent the Zelda franchise into the stratosphere in popularity lol.
