MP4 running on the Switch Lite
| firebush03 said: With MP4:Beyond finally having been released, it feels a little weird to think that we no longer have any more of those “Release Date: TBA” games from Nintendo: Bayo3, Pikmin 4, BotW2, and MP4:Beyond have all finally been released. It’s almost a surreal thought… Seems Nintendo isn’t looking to do any more of these “revealed too soon” style of releases judging by upcoming releases. I’m curious how quick of a marketing cycle games such as 3D Mario and Zelda will get moving forward: Wonder had 4 months, Odyssey had 10 months, but BotW/TotK both had 4-5y. |
What about Splatoon Raiders?

Huge day for Switch 1/2 releases!
Metroid Prime 4 (Switch 1 + 2)
Octopath Traveler 0 (Switch 1 + 2)
Sonic Racing Crossworlds (Switch 2)
Viewfinder (Switch)
Popucom (Switch)

And Assassin’s Creed yesterday! It’s a shame more dev kits weren’t shipped out sooner, though it’s good to finally start to see these big third-party studios finally begin bringing games over.

Third party support looks to be kicking into high gear in the new year; just in the first three months of 2026 we have Resident Evil Requiem, 7, and Village, FF7 Remake, 007 First Light, Fatal Frame 2, Reanimal, Yakuza Kiwami 3, Dynasty Warriors Origins, Monster Hunter Stories 3...
Even as a cross gen game Beyond is one of the best looking games on NSW2.

I'd go so far as to say it's the best looking Nintendo game to date, even though it's ultimately a Switch 1 game with a performance boost.
The art direction, composition, and attention to detail are exquisite, and it runs like liquid lightning. The thought of what Retro could pull off in a game built from the ground up for Switch 2 is mouth-watering.
So far I feel Beyond is much better than Echoes and Corruption to the point it's between Prime and Beyond for the top spot in this branch of the franchise.
How's everyone liking the bike sections of Metroid Prime 4 so far?
