What would a fourth Luigi's Mansion be like?

(why am i the only one active in this thread lol??) It’s crazy to think that next year may be the first time I purchase a Pokémon game day one since BDSP. Five years of holding off after having been burned so bad by SwSh and BDSP (the latter of these two was so bad that I literally stopped playing all video games for six months. I thought I had grown out of video games, when in reality, I had just played a not-so-fun game).

I've been busy with some personal home projects and traveling for work lol - so I havent been active in forums in general over the past week or so.

I did get Pokemon legends ZA but that was because of the voucher system and didnt know what else to choose when I bought another game.

I'm planning to play Scarlet soon after I finish up DK Bananza (which I will start on once I am done with FF Tactics Ivalice Chronicles which I'm playing now).

I actually enjoyed Pokemon Sword which I finished two years ago and I finished Pokemon Platinum (DS) for the first time last year which I had more fun than when I first played Diamond on the DS back in 2007.

Right now I'm playing through Persona 5 Royal on my Switch OLED - having a blast, just finished the 2nd palace and clocked at 38 hours so far.

Took a break from Star Wars Outlaws to revisit my old Switch 1 (still play last gen stuff there so as not to wear out my new system on old games) and noticed that after an update, they have finally fixed the Switch version of indie shooter Ion Fury.

Previously this version ran poorly and aiming was practically broken due to poorly implemented acceleration that made just hitting enemies a nightmare. This is all fixed now, and runs at 60fps with smooth accurate aiming; better late than never, I will finally get around to playing it one of these days.

Also downloaded Ball x Pit since I loved Vampire Survivors and games like Breakout, and it's a blast, really gets the dopamine flowing and is one of those games that feels right at home on Switch with its retro aesthetic and pick-up-and-play sensibility.

Even more than eight years on, the little hybrid still kicks arse.

I'm grinding in the Paper Mario TTYD post game so I can take out a hidden boss.

I invited over some friends I usually hang out monthly to my home and we all played some MP games through my Switch 2.

We played the following

-Mario Kart World
-Super Mario Bros Wonder
-Super Mario 3D World
-Mario Party Superstars
-Nintendo Switch Sports

Damn we literally played for 8 hours straight, time flew by quick and it was really fun. First time experiencing local multiplayer too with 4 people.

Post game? There’s a post-game?? I thought I 100% completed it… I don’t recall having much anything left after credits rolled. Also, I remember there being two hidden bosses, but opted against them (seemed a little grindy).

Also, this is probably the weirdest quote I think has ever come from Miyamoto… there must be an error in translation, no? This feels like a very non-Miyamoto thing to say, especially with his famous quote on how a “rushed game is bad forever.”

Edit: Turns out there was much more context to the remark.

Also, it seems that Pokémon Legends Z-A will be a system seller for Switch 2: 51% of sales for Z-A were NS2 Edition (in UK).

Also notable: Sales were down 40% for Z-A than from Arceus. I wonder why that is? That’s a very substantial drop… especially with one game releasing during the holidays, and the other in the middle of February. Could just mean maybe the “core” base of consumers (i.e. those who purchase games at launch) found greater interest in Arceus than Z-A? Maybe also partially due to Z-A being dropped in a market flooded by new, critically acclaimed titles? Maybe some people holding off until they’ve got their NS2? So many possibilities…

Edit: Turns out digital figures weren’t included in this data. I’d imagine lots of sales are coming from the bundle…though I’d be hard-pressed if it was anywhere near that 40% discrepancy. Hm…

Switch was already 4 years in the market when Arceus released. The userbase difference probably took a part on this
