People think this is about The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, but I say it's just a coincidence.

I can understand why people think so due to the fact that the baby has features like eye color and hair color which could be related to Rosalina though I think this was just a test demo of what the studio was capable of.

Hopefully sign of things to come within and outside of gaming.

I say it's not Baby Rosalina, because the art style doesn't match the Mario movies.

And the movies dont match the art style of the games.

Things can change. Paper Mario, 3D Mario, 2D Mario, Mario & Luigi, Super Mario RPG and the Super Mario Movies all have different art styles.

Anyways, it might not be related to the movie but could be related to something else like a TV series, or like I said a test demo for the future.

According to Mat Piscatella (on BlueSky): ”Hardware - With 2.4M units sold LTD over its first 3 months market, Nintendo Switch 2 is now 5% ahead of the previous record setting pace of PlayStation 4, which sold 2.2M units during the 3 months ending January 2014.” [Source.]

And that's without the holiday season, PS4's next few months after this are spring months vs Switch 2 entering it's holiday period. Switch 2 might be a platform with Wii peak momentum but Switch longevity, that's a scary lifetime figure.

The movies have a close enough art style to the games.

Why do some people want Switch 2 to fail so bad? I’m looking at the comment sections of the two most recent sales articles. They’re just filled with people trying to explain how sales are ACTUALLY not moving. I’m gonna just ignore them moving forward, but it’s such an oddity to me…

Also, looks like Yooka-Replaylee reviewed quite well! Not counting the three poor reviews, it sits firmly in the 80s which is a big step up from the OG…though counting the three poor reviews (one of which being a 5/10 from IGN), then it sits at a (still very nice) 78OC.

Nintendo Derangement Syndrome. Some people are deeply emotionally invested in hating them and so want them to fail so that their opinions feel validated by the market.

It's ultimately just childish fanboy shit.

It's IGN, what did you expect?
