Ive had a Switch for 3 months and jist assumed the joycons had one..

Bafflingly, it has an IR camera, but on the back of the red/right joycon instead of the front, so it's not used as a pointer.

It is a very curious omission.  I do wonder if they'll simply use pure motion, which could work well.  Or perhaps an attachment?  We'll see.

This does make me sad though because I only got to play Prime 1. How are they going to port the prime trilogy now?

You can emulate IR pointer controls with gyro aiming. That's what Skyward Sword did (even though it wasn't necessary because they could have just used IR).

Just got the switch today,and it's a really cool console,far better than i expected.It's also really perfect for me(i go to college during day time,don't have enough time to boot my ps4 lately).Really,now it just need a 2d metroid collection and a f-zero game and it will be my favorite nintendo console ever.

I only play docked. However, a Pro controller would lose me the ability to play with my hands further apart, which I value a lot.

Hey guys look. Another indie game doing best on Switch. On this case it is Has Been Heroes

"To begin, Tuovinen indicated that Has-Been Heroes has been selling the best on Switch. Tuovinen didn’t share any specific numbers, though that was in part due to since he didn’t have any information on-hand. Switch’s small library could have played a role in the strong performance, but the fact that people were interested in the game and were giving it a shot was encouraging."
