Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Switch Pro feature list

The Switch Pro you propose is appealing, but an oled screen plus a potential decrease in size for the unit.....that battery life isn't looking too good.....

My concept would be a Switch XL
-The screen will be 900p (not because of pixel density increase, but just screen enlargement)
-screen size would then have to be 7.75 inches
-the size of the unit will be only very slightly larger since bezel thinning will compensate for most of screen enlargement
-add in the things you said (second kickstand, metal joycon rails, 2 micro sd slots)
-64 gb storage
and there we go.

edit: make it use the tegra X2

I think the X2 or better is assumed at this point, so I left it out.
I am not proposing a shrink in size of the device, I want the screen larger and a higher resolution, but smaller bezels.
Battery life should be increased, perhaps make the device wider to accommodate a larger battery.

jonathanalis brought up a good point that I forgot to mention, the device should be able to run in a base mode (performance of the current Switch) and make use of the better performance per watt of the X2 / custom chip.

No screen/battery/joycons.
Pro controller included
500GB harddrive
Global achievement system
Pikachu themed console design
Low price

That's all

Xbox and PS4 got you covered. You can even paint it yellow and give it little ears and everything! ;)

Tegra X2 so it'll have improved battery life and will play all games on-the-go the same as the original Switch does docked.

Possibly 1080p screen and the Dock has a 2.5" HDD slot inside it.

Well if it wasn't obvious I also want Pokemon games on it, ya know to go with the Pikachu theme and all. PS4/Xbox haven't got me covered there

Can't you install Linux on the PS4, that would mean that you would likely be able to play every Pokemon game ever released, all on one system.

Which is more than you can currently do with the Switch...

It won't be called the "Pro," it will be called "New Switch."

At the very least, it should have the power of X1X.

Did you mean to put that second X in? Or do you expect an upgraded Switch to be over 12x the power of the current one. o.O

That kind of power in a device like the Switch won't be feasible for many many years.

Hey, the X1X is apparently smaller than the X1S. Slap a screen on that with a battery... sounds feasible.

MS should do that so they can boast about having the most powerful portable console too.

It would flatten any battery in a minute and you're not going to fit a vapor-chamber cooling solution into a tablet.

It weighs too much, it's much too large, it uses too much power and it generates too much heat.

PCs aren't fast enough to compete with Switch. One of the best things about Switch is reminding everyone why consoles originally trumped computers for gaming.
