Forums - Gaming Discussion - Nintendo business model is bad for gamers

oh my, all my life reading stuff like this. I'm immune already.

Honesty I was not trolling. I was genuinely my opinion. I see most of disagree and that is quite alright. Seems like Nintendo has found it's "niche" but I just wished we had 3 major players competing with each directly on the console market. It's win-win for the consumer.

I'm so happy I'm on a forum so I can witness these hilarious responses to Nintendo success.

Always the same pattern.

Nintendo fails? Boast about how you're magically a genius for predicting their failure and say they should go third party

Nintendo succeeds? Cry about how they're actually terrible and are just lucky

Precisely

They don't need to compete for the same market demography for it to help gaming to improve.

They have shown your console doesn't even have to have all the big AAA 3rd party stuff and you can still sell it like hotcakes. They have shown it's OK to have like 3 games in the launch of new console and your console would still be doing exceptionally.  They can literally release any quirky Mario, Kirby, Just Dance game and they sell like hotcakes. This does nothing to promote competition within the industry. Now companies like Microsoft and Sony know they slack off and still make profits. Sony has have began to do it - look at this E3 they went with the safe stuff. No shocking announcments because they know Microsoft and Nintendo are not in direct competitoin with them.

Huh?

Don't blame Nintendo cause Sony went with the safe stuff at E3. Don't blame Nintendo cause their console and games sell like hotcakes either. Nintendo been selling consoles without a lot of AAA third party games. Your problem is with Sony, and them alone.

I think you missed a couple of games, maybe just a couple

Sorry, but...

This is just too funny to take serious. Sure, a few games only at launch, as well as being safe with their console. Good one.

Nintendo is already stretched too thin. To do what you're asking of them, they have to get those third party companies on board. To get those, said companies need to stop trying to make games on the cutting edge graphically. They're too stupid to realize the money they're losing by doing that and the benefits of releasing on a console like Switch which is void of those types of games.

It's a downward cycle.

They have released games on previous gen with lesser graphics and on HH so they know what is to release on less graphically demanding platforms. So you don't need to tell them what to do.

I'm not talking about making two diffrent versions. That is ridiculous. They'd have to make ONE version and use the Switch as the lead platform. If they make two versions of the same game, no one is going to want what they feel is the "gimped" one.
