This is like the galaxy games coop mode. As long as we dont have 4 player again cause then that takes focus away from things.

If it's an actual 2-player mode, cool. If it's some Galaxy like waggle shit for player 2, no thanks.

well i wasn't expecting multiplayer anyway but i know my kids will be disappointed they loved 3d world and think Mario should have multiplayer they're going to be disappointed when they see you can't play this coop in the same fashion when they see me playing it I'm sure

I really wish this game was on Wii U and they had proper off-TV co-op. That would have made for the best Mario title ever. But now, I just have to wonder what could have been...

It seems that it will be similar to Puppeter, that used the same "player 1 is the main guy, player 2 is the sidekick" idea. It worked pretty well.

This will be played as much as I did the co-op mode in SMG. Never!

If they are going to do co-op, then it needs to be like NSMBU. All in or nothing.

Yeah same here, I'm glad the co-op mode doesn't intrude detrimentally on the solo experience.

Single player > Multiplayer in my book.

This seems a good compromise; a second player can get in on the action if they like, while solitary players like myself won't get a compromised experience.
