switch will probably get monster hunter world a few months before ps4 and xbox one get monster hunter 5. and if monster hunter world doesnt sell well on the switch, capcom wont be bothered porting monster hunter 5

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems the majority of main line games are on home consoles. So why would MHW be a spinoff just because it's on home consoles? Especially since Capcom confirmed that it's a main entry to the franchise.

I'm sure there will be another main line MH on the Switch but I doubt it will be exclusive to it and will also release on home consoles.

Why not? According to some people MH on home consoles will make zero money, seems just resonable to release it on a console where it would sell gangbusters.

Also more games for more people is always great :)

Not sure, they rarely port across enemy lines. I'm not seeing RE7 or Street Fighter 5 on the Switch.

Monster Hunter World is Monster Hunter 5, unfortunately. And a Switch version of the game with local coop probably would outsell both versions on the other platforms, assuming the coop works out well.
