Not sure, they rarely port across enemy lines. I'm not seeing RE7 or Street Fighter 5 on the Switch.

History says otherwise. I still remember when Code: Veronica was a Dreamcast exclusive.

RE7 is already on PS4, Xbox and PC, it'll be ported to all next-gen systems, and if it isn't on Switch it's because like many others, Capcom marked the Switch as "not AAA worthy" as soon as the console was announced. The problem with Street Fighter is that after SFV flopped Capcom doesn't know what to do with the franchise.

The fact that you had to go back as far as the Dreamcast shows how rare it is. And then you go on to say that Capcom doesn't consider the Switch as AAA machine.

Then how in the world can you say that a Switch port isn't a bold prediction?

That's not entirely true. Minimum specs means it won't have to fit low power rigs if it can't or they don't want it to. Something I know all too well since my computer often fails to meet minimum specs of new games

Yup, a lot of  PC games are requiring a minimum of 8gb of ram, with the Switch only having 3gb usable for games as opposed to the 5gb available on xbo/ps4 that'd probably be one of the biggest challenges in porting the game to Switch, especially with it's lower memory-bandwidth.

PC operating systems and applications are nowhere near memory efficient. My current Windows 10 installation running chrome with five tabs, and some scripts in the background is using 4.1GB/8Gb of system ram. Ram really hasn't been that much of a bottleneck for games this generation, and can be easily accomodated for with lower resolution assets. I doubt MHW is the type of game that would use more than 3GB of Vram at 720p resolutions.

If Capcom signed a deal with Sony, this is very unlikely.
I really hope Capcom doesn't ruin MH because that seems the only thing keeping them above water.

switch will probably get monster hunter world a few months before ps4 and xbox one get monster hunter 5. and if monster hunter world doesnt sell well on the switch, capcom wont be bothered porting monster hunter 5

Monster Hunter World is Monster Hunter 5, unfortunately. And a Switch version of the game with local coop probably would outsell both versions on the other platforms, assuming the coop works out well.

The bolded are handheld titles, the unbolded are console ones.

Tell me about that when Japornese are into console game machine

Portable game machine played a part in their social life, also Switch is sold much more better than PS4 in Japan, and MH sales in Japan is bigger than the rest of the world

MH World is focus on the West, so another MH game (MH5) is focus on Japan will be coming, and it will be Exclusive game for Switch, unless Sony release a new handheld game machine

Both MH5 & MH World will be main MH title in the series

The PS2 had Monster Hunter 1, Monster Hunter 2, and the Wii had Monster Hunter Tri. The only handheld main series title was Monster Hunter 4. None of this stopped the portable series from massively outselling the main-series. Monster Hunter World is Monster Hunter 5, that doesn't mean it would be better than a portable game, or that it will necessarily sell better either. "Main series" means very little when it comes to Monster Hunter games.

That's the point though, it's unified memory, it has 3gb to use for both VRAM but also RAM as well.

The fact that you had to go back as far as the Dreamcast shows how rare it is. And then you go on to say that Capcom doesn't consider the Switch as AAA machine.

Then how in the world can you say that a Switch port isn't a bold prediction?

I named Code Veronica because it is a extreme case. From Dreamcast exclusive to PS2, Gamecube, PS3, 360, PS4.

Do you want newer ones? Super Street Fighter IV was ported to 3DS. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was ported to Vita, like Street Fighter vs. Tekken. Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles was ported from Wii to PS3, like Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles. Some Ace Attorney games ended being ported to PC and iOS. If there's a thing Capcom is known for is porting.

A Switch port isn't a bold prediction because unlike Resident Evil, Monster Hunter isn't AAA, and it's also a franchise where portability is a major selling point, something that only Switch offers.

Well I guess we have to disagree on that. I'd say Monster Hunter is AAA, especially for Capcom and especially MHW.
