One could help other plataform, and lots of players could choose the 2 plataforms, in a simbiose system. -Nintendo let VC(NES to GC) games on xbox, let xbox owners subscribe nintendo online service on xbox to earn the monthly games and play them online with xbox and switch users, and switch advertisement in xbox store, or even demos of switch games. -Xbox publish rare games on switch(and maybe original xbox games) to run natively on switch, and stream xbox one to nintendo switch for live gold members. lots of xbox one owners would lite to have a switch(where the complete experience of nintendo games are), and switch owners would like to have a xbox one(to play multiplat games on switch screen, good online infrastructure and achievments).

I don't think it's a bad idea to be honest, but if I'm Nintendo I'd let MS suffer a little bit, because I don't think Scorpio is going to be as successful as they want at that price point.
Nintendo should insist on getting the better end of the deal and it's easier to do that when your partner is a little more desperate.
Nintendo Gets
- Halo Games
- Rare titles and Rare back catalog games (including GoldenEye 007 for Switch).
- Ability to maybe work with Rare on certain titles for Switch (ie: Banjo-Kazooie Switch)
- Maybe another title like a State of Decay for Switch or Gears of War.
Microsoft
- Older Metroid titles in 4K (Metroid Prime 1/2/3)
- Maybe a port of Fire Emblem Warriors (once it's been on Switch for while).
- GoldenEye 007 for VC
- A few Nintendo VC classics, but only a few. Super Mario Bros., Earthbound, Donkey Kong Country, etc.
