Phantom Dust is out and free. Fable Legends sucked and Im not entirely convinced Scalebound is dead. Youre ignoring games we did get though.

Xbox and Windows are MS platforms so Play Anywhere makes sense. It also makes their games available to more people. This is not a bad thing.

I'm fine with Scorpio having the highest price versus being a let down like PS4 Pro. X1S exist for budget gamers.

Ori is successful.

The much wanted all new phantom dust is cancelled. Ppl don't care about the original game getting a free remaster. I mean it's nice but ppl wanted the new one for current gen that they cancelled.

The new Phantom Dust was never really a thing per se. It was announced way too early, we never got an idea of what the project really was, and most importantly it could have sucked. With the port of the original Xbox game we atleast got a good product that more people will actually play, and it benefits from X1 features.

Frankly, this should have been the original plan.

Much wanted? 😂 give me a break.

OP definitely needs to change most of your "we" to I. You don't speak for all Xbox gamers.

Wow a little defensive are we? I only used the term as it was obviously more wanted than a remaster of a 13 year old game.

But so help me god, if E3 2018 is as bad as this one, I will never, ever, invest in this brand, because I honestly feel like MS is treating it like it is dying. I will buy Playstation (in case you didn't know, I bought a PS3 at launch, so yes, I was into that bramd at one point), or maybe a PC, but I will not look back.

This is why I'm invested in multiple consoles. There isn't a single company giving me everything I want.

They did not win E3 2015. Sony had Shenmue III and Final Fantasy VIIR. I can't think of a time MS ever won an E3. Sony seems to take most and Nintendo takes the rest.

Hardly anyone cared about this game back in the day. No one asked for this game to made remade whatever. The way you put it tripped me out. There's more well received games back then that were and still being asked to be revived and Spencer picked that.

Just like less people cared about Shenmue back in the day but gained a following over time. Shenmue III went to be the most successful video game KS. Phantom Dust fans have kept the servers up all these years. I am a Phantom Dust fan I was looking forward to the remake. I know quite a few people who did as well.

Shenmue was released on a dying console that had games being burned on blank discs(unbelievable) and still sold over a Million. Phantom dust was well received but not bought by that many people. I can understand cult statuses but there's other games that sold more and have been asked about and I believe would make a bigger impact.

What good will the Xbox One X be if they have no Xbox exclusives. You might just as well buy a PC or a different console. All that power is going to be useless compared to a PC, PS4 Pro or an NS.

Now when Don Mattrick was replaced by Phil Spencer back in 2014, I was giddish. The guy who actually brought us the games... games! He was now the head of Xbox, and I honestly thought things were looking great.

E3 2014 comes, and we see Scalebound, Crackdown 3, Sunset Overdrive, Fable Legends, Ori, and plenty of great 3rd parties. Well today, 2 of those are canceled, and one of them still isn't released. But oh how little we knew...

[...]

E3 2017 was by far the biggest mix of disappointment you could imagine.

[...]

In the end, Phil is nothing but a corporate mouthpiece. He won't stand up for the brand like Peter Moore did, and he certainly won't try to do what gamers want. But, I will give you ONE more chance Phil. One more chance to prove that you can do this brand right. E3 2018. And I will know for certain if your years at Xbox did shit.

This, and more precisely, Phil is Nadella's mouthpiece just like Mattrick was Lardmer's one, neither of them ever had the authority to decide general strategies and important deals with third parties, at most very short term tactics. You could even say that Mattrick was actually better, as most of his mistakes depended on his first chief back then heading for his career's sunset boulevard. Just look at Reggie, until very recently he had to troll American Ninty users on behalf of Ninty true rulers also in USA, the Japanese HQ, now he's at the top of his glory as his chiefs command him to give mostly good news to US gamers and stop trolling them.

Phil Spencer was wrong for the job from the start. He knows nothing and looks uncomfortable all the time.
