But it's not like he needs it though. He already seems to be pretty decently known in the video game business.  I think he has a decent relationship with a lot of the major companies so that's why it makes me think why would he decide to announce it himself before letting Microsoft do it in 5 hours? It just seems odd, lol. 

It's $500 because Scorpio is a 9th generation system. We are in the 8th generation now. Microsoft isn't going to release anything after Scorpio for the next four years. This is it folks. This is gen 9.

if it woud come from a guy like shinobi, i would believe it but i never heard of that guy leaking something, so i dont really believe it and why would Microsoft "ruin" a what seems to be like, an insane press conference by announcing a price of 499 Dollar!?!? And like i said, a 300 Dollar price difference i just dont believe that, 399 Dollar will be a perfect competitive price but we will see.

Plot twist.... MS gave him the info and asked him to leak it.

So people have a few hours to adjust to the idea of it being that price.

Neogaf playing detective arrived at a 399$ price point, and people wanting it to be that low, pushed that agenda.

MS didnt want everyone to be bummed at the price reveal at their event, so they controlled a leak now to dampen the effect.

With the S model dropping to $200, this seems like a lot. $500 is 150% more than $200, or 2.5 times the price.

I mean I dunno lol. Maybe in reverse of that Geoff Keighley said $499 so that way it's more of a big shock if Microsoft were to reveal $399 and that Microsoft planned this. At least we'll know the actual price in a few hours though. 

Well that's a little bit on the higher end but makes sense. It was bound to be somewhere between $400-$500.
