You should question why a reputable game journalist would throw away his credibility for a measly two days. He may be wrong, but he's not lying.
As for the picture you're refering to, that image was questionable. Microsoft managed to find an image with a name that would exactly match the name of the system + the launch date and the image happened to feature the price of the system? That's a big coincidence seeing as they didn't create that image, to my knowledge.

if it woud come from a guy like shinobi, i would believe it but i never heard of that guy leaking something, so i dont really believe it and why would Microsoft "ruin" a what seems to be like, an insane press conference by announcing a price of 499 Dollar!?!? And like i said, a 300 Dollar price difference i just dont believe that, 399 Dollar will be a perfect competitive price but we will see.
