$499 is the price most were expecting.

I can not say if I am buying it until I see the reveal though to see if the price is justified.

I just can't see it selling anything noteworthy at that price with the PS4 and XB1s probably going for $200 or $250 + games/gift cards/extra controller this Holiday Season and the PS4Pro probably dropping to $350 with possibly a game bundled as well. At that price it's only going to sell to the hardcore Xbox users.

Depends on who you're asking. Lots of people expected $399 so it can compete with the Pro at a maximum level, but plenty of people also expected $449 or $499 or even higher. Digital Foundry/Eurogamer (the guys behind the Scorpio videos from 2 months ago) expected $499 back then.

There is one lad in his Tweet saying u need 6000 to build 4k PC .

Makes sense, but it will be a hard sell for MS, and it already was at 399.

IF this is true, and that's a very big IF, then it seems that management over at Xbox continues to make bad decisions. $400 was the price that I think a lot of people were anticipating and this will be a huge blow to momentum out the gate.

Would be utterly stupid of them. But then again, Xbox has a history of bad decisions...

Sony had to cut corners, to make the PS4pro able to hit 400$, and not sell at a loss.

Scorpio was always going to be more expensive than it, unless MS was willing to sell it at a loss.

People just had unrealistic expectations of what price such a console would be.
