Sony - The last two years have been unbelievable. They seem to have learned to trim the fat, try new things (live orchestra) and have absolutely nailed the pacing. However, they've had a lot of new projects to show the past 2 years. I feel this E3 will be a review of many previously announced titles with only one or two new surprises. So new gameplay of exciting games, but with only minimal surprises. It won't reach the dizzying heights of their previous two E3 shows but will still be very entertaining. 7/10.
Microsoft- This one is so hard to judge. What do MS have up their sleeve? If they've managed to secure some big new IP from some second party studios or first parties we don't know about, this could be a very exciting conference. With new hardware on the way, their will be an obvious focal point, but they need to push way beyond the boring pre-exiting franchises they've leant so heavily on in the past to generate some real excitement outside of the traditional xbox fanbase. I'll be optimistic and say they've learnt from their mistakes, and give it an 8/10.
