Insane, the screen didn't even crack x)

Such a shocking moment when we realize someone we love is lying to us.
Anyways, it happens.
These people have too much money. These 'extreme' durability test things always get me especially if it's a rare, thought after item.
I get putting it into the dock 1000 times to see if the screen will scratch, but willfully destroying hardware just pisses me off. That said, apart from the left joy-con that Switch looked pristine afte the fall. Lucky it didn't land on the screen either.

These guys do this with hundreds of devices to test which survive and which don't. |
And that makes it better how? There's entire channels out there dedicated to putting brand new hardware into BBQs and see what survives, but I can't help but find that very indulgent.
A 1000 foot drop is not a durability test that resembles any real life situation, neither is putting a Switch in your BBQ. This helps consumers in no way and is purely made for entertainment.

Some tests are good, some are pointless.
Both make the content user more money than the device they are destroying costs them, if they even have to pay for it.
So tell me, would you destroy your switch if by doing so you were given $1000?
Oh lol that was impressive. I wonder what it would have needed to get a 10.0 durability score ha ha.
Remember when some people tried to make us believe the Switch was bad designed, cheap and fulll of problems? Not only those problems were false but the console can survive a 1000 feet drop lmao Those people look like absolute idiots now.
Here I am scraping and saving to even get one and jerks on YouTube have such disposable income they break them everywhere.
Doing some very crude video analysis (counted the number of frames from it being the same height as the tree in landed next too, until it hit the ground, which was 6, and estimating the tree's height at 2.5 meters) it is travelling at about 10 meters per second (30 feet per second), or 36 kmph when it hits the ground.
It seems like the left joy-con absorbed most of the impact, saving the rest of the console from destruction.
