True.

But to hope that people who bought the Switch get fucked over is a little overboard don't you think?

Indeed, but also Nintendo supported that system more than any other company in their situation would have. Also the Wii U still got every thing you would expect from a Nintendo home console; a 3D Mario, 3D Zelda, 2D Mario (+Maker), Donkey Kong Country, Pikmin, Mario Kart, Pokemon Spin off, Kirby, Yoshi, Smash Bros and more.

If Wii U got everything you would expect from a Nintendo console then it would be OK. But it didn't: it did not have an exclusive Zelda, no Metroid, Mario Kart was ported after only a couple of years, plus a lot of other franchises were missing.

Having Zelda on Switch doesn't prevent you from playing on Wii U. Metroid skipped N64, I almsot feel like I've been ripped off by Nintendo knowing that. And if I understand, 3 years of Mario Kart 8 are rendered worthless because a port got released ?

At this point, it's just trolling...

Very nice to hear, hopefully they can beat Wii U sales within the first year :p

Again lets not forget the Switch is signficantly lower performance than the Shield box and this a summary of how the Shield compares to 360 and PS3.

The Shield isn’t completely devoid of mainstream fare, either. It’s powerful enough to handle some games from the previous console generation, including Borderlands 2Metal Gear Rising: RevengeancePortalHalf-Life 2, and Resident Evil: 5. Unfortunately, there aren’t many of these games, and their visual quality doesn’t quite hold up to their original console versions. If your primary goal is to revel in last-gen gaming, consider picking up an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 on the cheap.

http://www.pcworld.com/article/3162366/software-games/how-the-nvidia-shield-tv-holds-up-as-a-game-console.html

As you can see below 360 on left, Shield on right, shadows and lighting quality reduced on Shield and that's with double the cpu resources of Switch and somewhere between 2-3x the gpu resources of Switch as the Shield operates at full gpu speed and doesn't have to downclock for a portable mode.

I'm just making the point my predictions are based on the evidence, those who are claiming the Switch is higher performance are those making the stretch. We already know the much more powerful Shield box struggles to match ps3 and 360. This is hardly that surprising its a mobile chipset with low cpu resources.

Using Shield performance as a benchmark for the Switch is a flawed argument as Shield lacks the sort of specialized low level API that Switch benefits from, which massively boosts realworld performance. Shield ports like RE5 are effectively crippled because they don't have  "to the metal" access to the hardware, it's like a car being stuck in first gear.

I've seen you making these massive essay-length posts downplaying Switch's hardware capabilities on 4 different websites, no offense, but you seem almost obsessed.

But I don't want Pokémon, Animal just yet or what else will be left for 20188/19?

Ye, you'd have to imagine those two are next year. I mean we've already had Mario Kart, Zelda and soon 3d Mario and Splatoon 2. What major franchises are left? Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Smash Bros.... it's actually going to be really interesting to see the Switch get all Major titles so early, raises a lot of question marks for 2019!

Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Mario Maker, Metroid could be 2018. Not to mention new IP.

I think Smash is actually coming out this year, and Xenoblade 2 will get pushed into 2018.

Nintendo's software lineup should be well positioned through 2018. I think there will be new Switch hardware models (Tegra X2 based) next fiscal year also.

I think it was time to move on from the Wii era. I love the Wii and I'm glad I have a Wii U, but seeing the Switch as it is now is great for Nintendo as long as they continue their momentum and third parties at least ATTEMPT to support the console with better and consistent efforts overtime. I know there was decent support around launch for the Wii U, but less Mass Effect 3-only and more actually porting the whole trilogy, for example. Of course it's hard to expect that from third parties on Nintendo consoles but the MHXX port, DQX and XI (once that's shown), Blaster Master Zero, Bomberman, and even USFII show some promise with hopefully more to come. Bayo 3? Beyond Good and Evil 2? Who knows.

Switch will be better than Wii and Wii U, both are overrated.

Wii U is overrated?

What does it matter that they aren't exclusive? You can still play MK8 and BotW on the Wii U, and the fact that they got ported doesn't change anything about that.

What I'm saying is that the Wii U got less support than any other Nintendo home console. And I bought the Wii U for games that would be exclusive for a long time, just like with all other Nintendo systems (even the Virtual Boy). And most people who bought a Wii U also bought it for exclusives, because the console itself was awful. And yes, Wii U is VERY overrated.

Of Course that has shorter and less support when it failed hard, but despite fact that Wii U failed already in 1st year and that was worst selling Nintendo console ever, Nintendo still released most of their biggest IPs on Wii U and Wii U actually ended with solid number of good Nintendo games. Also when you talking about "exclusive" games, why you totally ignoring fact that Nintendo also ported 6-7 GC games to Wii!? Most people who buyed Wii U to play great Nintendo games and they get that, not because they thought that not any Nintendo Wii U game will be ported to next console (its even crazy to think like that).

Zelda and maybe Metroid were the only remotely big games to be ported to Wii. And Gamecube still had one exclusive Zelda game. Wii U didn't get most of the biggest IPs. Just Mario and Smash Bros, and maybe Donkey Kong if you like platformers. Zelda and Mario Kart were ported. Wii U didn't get a solid number of Nintendo games at all, most of them were either garbage or games nobody wanted.

It doesn't matter if they are big games or not, fact is they already done before. For the record, Nintendo GC games that are ported to Wii: Zelda TP, Metroid 1, Metroid 2, Pikmin 1, Pikmin 2, Mario Tennis, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and Chibi-Robo. No GC also does not have exclusive Zelda game, WW is ported to Wii U, and Wii U simple had only one new Zelda game because BotW was so long in development, and Nintendo would be crazy if they didn't again pull TP on Wii and released BotW like Switch launch title also. Of Course that Nintendo released solid number of Nintendo games, they released games from almost every bigger their IP, only games that didn't get but Wii had them for instance are Metroid and real Animal Crossing. Most of them are garbage!? Sry, I didnt know that NSMBU, Nintendo Land, Pikmin 3, SM3DW, DKCTF, MK8, Smash Bros 4, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Splatoon, Super Mario Maker, Yoshi Wolly World, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Hyrule Warriors, Zelda TP HD, Zelda WW HD, Zelda BotW...are garbage, reality is that only game that is garbage is Animal Crossing Amiibo and you have games like Star Fox Zero that is average.

You are bitter and totally unrealistic, yes Nintendo will will port some Wii U games to Switch and they already done that before, you really need get over that.
