Forums - Microsoft - Official Xbox E3 2017 thread- Xbox One X November 7th for $499 | Ori 2, Forza 7, and more announced

Most of the games that were shown look promising, especially Sea of Thieves. Super Lucky's Tale is one game that I enjoyed watching very much.
But that $500 price tag... that just served as an achor that held it all back.
Good luck with that, Microsoft. Especially if Sony decides to cut the PS4 Pro price to $350 to counter. Then you've REALLY got an uphill battle to start.

Have you played State of Decay?

yeah, I stopped after a few hours because I hated the janky combat and driving and didn't think the rest of the game made up for it. It was ugly and buggy too

Remember me to never listen to you again. Thanks.

State of Decay is awesome! Not visually impressive, but the gameplay is unique and so much more than killing hundreds of Zombies hunting you *cough* Days Gone *cough*

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Damn, the site crashed from the 499 announcement lol
Rip microsoft

Yah a site with like 80% of either Sony enthusiasts or anti-Microsoft in general, crashing because people who do not give a shit about the Xbox One did not like the price of the high end version and tried to give their "objective" oppinion about how much Microsoft lost the E3 like every year for them :) I'm sure Microsoft will care and is in trouble now! Looking at their sales and how the ecosystem is growing; I would say things are looking pretty bright so far.

Now for my part (someone that is actually interrested into what Microsoft has to offer and not pretending like some to make their feedbacks sound more legitimate), loved the conference. They mean it with the Xbox One X and the 4k. Saw also a LOT more new Xbox Play Anywhere titles.

All games (a lot of games) looked amazing and I'm really trilled everything they presented. The purely Microsoft system exclusives (Xbox and Windows 10) are exactly what I was hoping and looking for. Crackdown, Forza, Metro, Ori, Anthem, AC Origins, and many many more will look amazing on the new system.

I think they had some underrated really cool looking games, but $499.99 is too much for XBox One X. If it was going to be $500, I almost feel like they'd have been better off releasing a proper XBox 2 for fall 2019.

fair enough, but I think they need to be given a bigger budget if it is ever going to interest me again

so many rough edges

Super Lucky is definitely on my must buy list alongside ME and OWW... Also liked Black Desert and Codevein... I might try Anthem if the main isn't gendered...

That's an ignorant and untrue statement since you have not played Days Gone and there was only one video showed announcing the game. Days Gone had nothing to do with Xbox and is actually exclusive to PS4 unlike State of Decay is to Xbox. The enemies are not zombies btw. They are mutants. Days Gone offers much more than shooting a bunch of mutants if you actually paid attention to the dev walkthrough and wasn't being a closed minded person playing favorites. The game has exploration, side quests, environmental interaction for killing enemies, great melee combat and motorcycle traversal off road. If you like State of Decay then you would be interested in Days Gone obviously.

Not going to lie, that was an underwhelming conference from MS. No new AAA announcements, and Xbox One X is $499, much too high. The highlights for me were original Xbox BC, Forza 7, Ori 2, and their 3rd party marketing deal games (Code Vein, AC Origins, Shadow of War, and Anthem).

Final Score: 5/10

That's exactly how I had it. I was disappointed. This was Xbox's time to snag up some great compelling titles. I am happy for Ori 2 and the OG backward compatibility tho. Still 5/10 is all I can give the conference as a whole.
